Forceful Ads
Please stop making the mail viewing experience stressful by trying to force Ads on customers. If one does not like an Ad and gives feedback they do not prefer it, stop forcing that same ad on a person.

Just moving the ads to another place in my email doesn’t minimize the annoyance of ads. Just STOP the ads. I’m paying for AOL and my son thinks I’m throwing away money and should should switch Gmail. I’m beginning to think he’s right!

I've complained about this and all it's accomplished is that my other accounts get blocked from making any more complaints

Get rid of the ads particularly on the side of the open emails. This is nee and it is causing the content of the emails to become too small to easily read.

Wendy Whittall, I COMPLETELY agree!! You said everything I feel and wanted to say!!! I used to try and swipe those ads away in my inbox column like annoying flies but the ad on side taking up a third of the screen is BEYOND my tolerance level. And if you use full screen to view your mail, that stays but YOUR emails in the left column disappear. AND if you want to close that ad, it's almost impossible because the aol banner on top blocks it.
I thought dealing with the absolutely HIDEOUS yellow color was bad but this is not acceptable. Don't they realize we are all die hard aol users and we are not the majority and not the ones to annoy. Any person today is going to choose gmail for a new account!!!!!They really dont care!!!!

I agree!!!!! Everybody uses gmail but foolishly I want to keep aol. I may really have to rethink that because the ads are out of control!!!! I am keeping civil, but truthfully I am beyond mad and have a few choice words for Aol regarding this!!!!!

The ad halfway into my email list was annoying...THEN you added one at the TOP too because money is your goal, right (not the approval of your users). And NOW you obliterate a third of the entire viewing window with a HUGE strip of ads on the side!! How the **** am I supposed to view my emails in the 3inch wide strip that's left on my iPad screen?? This is the last straw - I've used AOL for DECADES but I'll be switching my main email account to your biggest competitor if this change is not reverted back to the wider viewing window. It's bad enough that you programmed your site to keep reloading to the AOL main page when I'm working through my list of emails. I can always tell it's going back to your main page when I close a window and it's taking forever for my email account to get on the screen again. The stupid articles and ads take so long to load and it was NOT even the page I was on before I opened a new window through a link in an email. If I wanted to read news articles on AOL there is no problem finding it - but I DON'T WANT IT SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT!! You're really pushing my limits with this **** and I'm about ready to walk away from AOL entirely. I hope the additional ad revenue is really big because you'll need it once your user numbers drop off significantly from this change.

I believe that my account is being spoofed. I receive constant email in my junk mail box from a sex based hook up web site. I block each one and delete to trash, then delete again. There is no where for me to unsubscribe. I need this to stop, please help! Thank you!!!

You'd rather make users angry to the point they leave AOL than cut down on parasitic ads. The one that appears in New Mail and fools people to click on it is the worst. #Hateaol
