Terrible. Who would have any clue that there was going to be a change that would delete all old emails? My dad died and now the email he sen
My dad had multiple sclerosis and died very slowly over a course of the last 25 years.
We sent emails to each other, and they were the highlight of my life. They gave me hope that keeps me alive every day.
I went to go print them out -and they’re gone. Just gone.
What an awful thing to do to people. I see others on here experiencing the same thing.
Read the room. Obviously people use email for communication. It’s not just work related, for some people it’s the only connection to loved ones.
Was there like a heads up from AOL, given to their earliest customers, warning them that emails dating back to the early 2000s would just be deleted?
Even if there was, people are busy and inundated with just trying to get by day-to-day.
Like a lot of other people, I don’t have the emotional energy to be up and current on giant corporation changes.
Why did you guys do this? If my emails are gone, there’s no reason to use AOL. For me, anyway.
Any way to access old emails, or just nah? Unreal AOL.

Hoping for help with AOL’s thoughtless decision to delete old emails. Essentially making this platform useless. Poor decisions, bad business.
