Hello there, the Download Manager feature is now available with the latest update for the AOL Desktop Gold.

For information on how to use the Download Manager, please check the following article: https://help.aol.com/articles/search-sort-and-manage-files-with-the-download-manager

If you do not have the latest revision for the AOL Desktop Gold, please follow the steps below to update it:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on “Help” on the top right and select “Check for Updates”. The update will be downloaded in the background.
3. Leave the software opened for 10-20 minutes.
4. Close and reopen the AOL Desktop Gold.

    what does that mean??? The feedbacks seem pretty clear......Members are not happy with the majority of changes that you've created in AOL Gold and want oh so many of the features that we had and enjoyed with the previous program 9.8.2.....BTW Now that you've brought back the download manager....maybe you could let us know what good is as there are no settings..... basically it's useless!!! Another no good effort trying to convinve you are trying ......Not buying it.....Gold still stinks and is a lousy program!!!

    I also can not get anything to download other than to the desktop. What is wrong with AOL to let this continue? I have wasted hours on the phone with AOL. This must be fixed immediately!!!!

    I used to have a place to download things in settings......that's not available anymore!!! Why??? Just another small thing changed..why must everything be changed??

    1) Restore access to Download Manager. 2) Restore access to mail folders on my PC without having to sign in. 3) Bring back the Auto AOL mail feature. 4) Eliminate the frequent interruptions of service and inability to sign in.

    I don't have mail options or download manager. Can someone tell me where it is and what it does??

    When I click download manager in Mail Options it does not open. I have reinstalled the latest version and updated my system.

    You ought to bring back the Resize function. If I want to see a photo someone emailed me, I have to put it into My Pictures somewhere to be able to see the entire photo. Yes, I can scroll down to see it but for some reason IT'S NOT SATISFACTORY!!

    n. I need immediate access to old files in Download Manager. Usually an upgrade means an improvement, in this case it is a loss of service.

    In addition, on Blue version I was able to see if I had email on my other screen names. With Gold I must go to the actual screen name to see if I have mail. Bad! Bad! Shame on you.

    I went looking for Download Manager to change where downloads went to and unzip options and it's gone. What?

    In prior versions of AOL, if you tried to download an e-mail attachment, you got a warning if you had previously downloaded the file. That warning is now gone and it allows you to download the name attachment as many times as you want and simply adds a number at the end of the file name for each download. Is this a setting that can be changed or is that safety feature now gone forever?
