Save composed emails off line to send later.
Reinstate the old style email ability of saving composed email to send at a later date. Composing emails OFF LINE is the main reason I have stayed with AOL. If it isn't corrected soon I may no longer have much of a reason the stay a member.

Save Write Mail has twice sabotaged something I was working on that was underneath, I just wanted to delete the top page but instead it saved that one and deleted the one on the bottom. This box comes up where it shouldn't be and I can''t get rid of it.

I should be able to save a draft email when I am signed off.

hear hear!
I work in rural Asian locations where there is often no internet. I have to download them when in a town, work on them during the day OFF LINE then send them when I get a connection at night. This was fine with AOL but I cannot do it with AOL Gold - please add this feature!!

AOL is engaging in deception by telling users they can save mail on their PC. No, that is not true. If it was, users would be able to read it without signing on, would be able to back it up, and would be able to transfer it to another computer. This appears to be a ploy to force users to continue to pay for the desktop software indefinitely if they want to be able to read "saved" mail. AOL has had 5 months to restore this and other features that were available in older versions, and has failed to do so, on purpose it would seem.

Can't view emails saved on PC when off line and can't save "saved on PC" folders. Both functions were provided on older versions of AOL

I need to be able to read e-mail saved on my computer, and compose new e-mails, without having to be connected to the internet at the time I am doing that. Yes, once my new e-mails are ready, I can sign on and upload the new mail. The old AOL had that functionality. AOL Gold does not in spite of assurances from AOL that Gold would have all the functionality of the old version. Please restore that functionality or let me revert to the previous version. Thanks.

Come on, Used to be able to get to my emails, clean them up, sort them, draft new ones, clean up my address book all off line. IF these things are saved to my PC, then I shouldn't have to log on to get to them. Its annoying. Gold randomly goes back to adding every email address to the address book. I want to draft emails off line before I send them. all those features were lost with GOLD

How do I access mail stored on 'my PC' when working off-line just like could be done in EVERY version of AOL since at least 3.0 but apparently not on the 'latest most advanced' 'Gold'? No matter how many times I click on 'mail saved on PC' nothing happens. Also the 'important wizard' is pathetically slow (should be called 'import fool' as certainly is no 'wizard') - the well validated method of manually selecting what to import from saved old files was both quicker and provided ability to select which files to import.
Do any of AOL programmers even use AOL 'Gold' themselves - bet it is very few! -

How about restoring the offline ability to create emails and send them later? That was a very convenient feature of 9.8.2, and it is impossible now under Gold. One of many very poor software decisions making this "new and improved" version worse than ever.

I need to be able to work on my AoL Gold emails offline. I am often in remote areas with no wifi signal - how to set this up?

I wrote emails off-line so I could edit them later when I've gathered more information; then, and only then, do I sign on to send them. Now it tells me they're saved to my "Mail waiting to be sent" file, but it doesn't happen; the message is gone.

The fact that I have to sign on (have internet access) to see mail that should be saved on MY laptop is unacceptable. When AIM was discontinued I got popups for months...when Gold was forced on us it was by surprise at the end of last week. I still have the occasional need to use dialup and that seems to have been completely eliminated.

Why do you have to be online to write an email and click for it to be sent later? You can't do anything with your own mail unless you're signed on. Why is that? Why can't we insert background pictures anymore? Again you've taken choices away from us We can't use our computers as we wish because our choices were taken away by aol. Many of us have collected backgrounds for years to insert in emails yet they are rendered useless now. Give us back our choices.

AOL has changed too many things and they are all worse than the 9.8 AOL and everyone I know is angry about this. I have been with AOL since the beginning... 35 years and am not happy with the STUPID changes that have been made.

Put it back the way it was. The old software allowed this to be done. I want to be able to work offline if there is no wi-fi, or if it's a public network that I don't trust. The response to this will be an important factor in my decision to stay with AOL, or to leave after 23 years of membership. Thanks.
