Since 1988, marketing and advertising is and has been part of AOL's core business practice. They supplement the small fees we the users pay with additional income from advertising revenue. We don't have to use AOL. Personally, I choose to, but that means I accept it for how it comes. Chill out.

I pay for AOL, I hate this new format. I hate seeing a big ad with my tiny list of 6 email names below. I hate that when I leave one of my email accounts to sign on to the next, they all look the same. The one I am currently on is not highlighted. So if I forget which I just read, I find myself repeatedly signing back in rather than going on to the next email account. What was wrong with the previous format. The new one is not customer friendly. Did I mention I hate it! Please return to the old format.

Our whole family and one of our businesses has an AOL email. Now, even though I am in AOL Gold on desktop, I get an ad when I want to switch to different accounts. We PAY for AOL and you are sticking in an ad when we want to switch into our accounts? Please stop.

Why am I seeing so many ads when I am paying $5.43 a month for AOL Gold?

AOL gold is the worst one. It's like you people dont care, plus the Huntington news is like a Communist paper.. Give us the truth not your Left lean BS.

The advertisements you attach on the right side of the list of mail messages are sometimes virtually pornographic. The ad control button does not seem to work for them. In particular, we've recently been seeing one from "Venus" which pops up frequently.

These ads do not need to be at the top of the page. I immediately scroll down so they do not show-- just as I know most of your users do!!!
So, they are basically worthless to the people who pay for them and simply disgusting to your users because of the placement.
Please Stop this!!!! -

The large 'banner ads' at the top of the pages are distracting. Chances are, I would never buy/utilize what is being offered. I would even pay more if I could totally eliminate ads from the AOL pages.

Kindly remove the paid advertisements. So I can check emails and just use my AOL Desktop Gold freely. I am paying member and subscriber of AOL Desktop Gold for over 25 years, so I have allegiance to AOL

NOW THAT AOL IS A PAY SERVICE (WELL I PAY FOR IT ANYWAY)... I ABSOLUTELY HATE ALL THE NEXT SCREEN NEWS ITEMS. I DO NOT MIND A CONTINUED ON PAGE WHATEVER, BUT TO HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY FLIP THROUGH A NEWS ITEM FOR THE COMPLETE STORY IS NUTS. I MAY HAVE TO CHANGE. I LOVE THE NEWS, BUT NOT WHEN IT IS SO HARD TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THE REAL STORY.

I'm sure that almost everyone notices, that when following one of your "hour long " stories you are required to chase down the "next page " bar over and over again, to select. Unless we are careful to wait for the bar to settle down, you will inadvertently pick up an advertisement.
Do you guys really have to do that to satisfy the advertisers? STOP it please! -

Here's an idea: stop posting repulsive ads such as this one:
"Take A Look Inside Jen Psaki's Repulsive Life"
Keep the radical right out of my living room. If it's not Jen Psaki, it's Hilary Clinton's "repulsive home". If you're allowing such ads, you're unethical and irresponsible - and creepy.
