    Keep advertisements from covering photos and text in articles - so much is covered I usually just give up - I don't mind the ads as long as they don't make reading articles impossible - I pay for my AOL so I don't think ads should cover my entire screen --

    When you send an email and the little box pops up that says your mail was sent.. that has an ad in it. When you open the mailbox, the right side has ads running, when you open an email the right side of the email has an ad running in it. For people like me with an older computer, this creates a huge memory suck, its slowing down all processes on aol. Try to google something and with all the **** running its impossible to get the pages to open. I thought with so many members paying for aol 'service' which really is no service at all, we weren't going to be subject to ads that destroy the fun of being online. Either stop this bombardment of ads or face losing many many members. This is outrageous.

    It has gotten so bad with all the ads in the news section that I no longer go to the news on AOL. And the ads are everywhere else too. I probably won't be here much longer as in addition to this nothing works. The worst of it is that I no longer get all the emails people send to me.... and my outgoing mails at times do not get delivered.

    TODAY WHEN I SIGN ON TO THIS SUPPOSEDLY GREAT PROGRAM CALLED AOL GOLD, NOTHING WORKS, WEB PAGES WON'T OPEN OR ARE SO SLOW THAT ITS NOT WORTH THE WAIT. THE REASON IS BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY ADS EATING UP ALL MY MEMORY WITH THE FLASHING ADS THAT ARE UNWANTED BY ME. THIS IS A TOTAL INVASION OF MY PRIVACY. KEEP THE ******** UP AND YOU'LL BE LOSING SO MANY CUSTOMERS IT WON'T EVEN BE PROFITABLE TO BE IN BUSINESS. THIS IS ****. INVADE OUR LIVES AND SPACE WITH ADS THAT ARE TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE FOR OUR LIFE STYLES. STOP THIS **** NOW.

    NOW I CAN'T EVEN OPEN A FLIPPIN EMAIL WITHOUT AN AD POPPING UP ON THE SIDE OF THE EMAIL. WHY AM I PAYING AOL FOR THIS? IF I WANT ADS I'LL GO TO ANOTHER PAGE, BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE THESE ADS OFF OUR EMAILS IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF ******** EVER. STOP THESE ADS, CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS ARE GOING TO ENSUE IF THIS DOESN'T STOP. YOU DON'T HAVE MY PERMISSION TO BE POSTING ADS THAT HAVE INTEREST TO ME AT ALL. STOP IT NOW.

    As I sit here trying to enjoy the tribute to John McCain, the damned ads kept flopping around on the side. I don't know who the idiot was that decided there should be ads there rather than captions. Yah, I know, The captions are pasted across the photo if I click the button. Stupid idea.

    Bring back the old AOL. This new GOLD version is decades inferior. We are paying you for this service, and you pump stupid commercials with auto on sound at us.

    When viewing the welcome page ads pop up and require my deleting them, so new ones can pop up. I will pay to keep these ads off my page. AOL, too many ads!
