CAN'T YOU JUST MOVE THE ADS TO THE SIDE OR THE END OF THE NEWS ARTICLES, SO WE CAN READ THEM?

HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DO YOU NEED? JUST DO IT!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO READ ANY ARTICLES WITH ADS COVERING THE CONTENT -- AND YOU KNOW IT!! WHY NOT JUST FIX IT!!!!
-
DIANNE CASTELLI commented
Whenever I attempt to READ a news article, the content of the article is covered by ads, making the article impossible to read. Surely, you can control the "placement" of the ads.

You blocked out the word **** so no-one would see it. So what am I supposed to say?? Naked people? People with no clothes? People in various adult acts?

I am getting **** ads at the side of my mailbox! This is the 3rd time. Twice in the past I click to "stop seeing this ad" and marked it as inappropriate but that has not helped. Is Oath so intent on making money that they will do this to us? STOP THESE ADS NOW! I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS.

Please return address book next to mail box and stop ads. I have run checks on most of the companies and items usually come from China. If anyone orders clothes or practically anything they are in for an inferior product, if items even arrives. Clothes are not what you see, shipping takes forever and return policy a joke. No matter how great they look, they are not made in America.

First, it's ridiculous to have to click 10 times to read one story that could be told in 2 paragraphs. Second, I don't read even one ad on all those pages I'm forced to click through. Actually I am reading less and less because most of the articles are stupid and not well written.

Okay! I found a workaround! I googled the exact title of the article I wanted to read and found it on its original site! I was able to simply scroll down the page and read it in its entirety! Ads are still there but easier to bypass when you're not having to click "next page" a dozen times!!!
btw: the reason that child was coming home from school with migraines was "hypoglycemia" because he wasn't eating the nasty cafeteria food! -

It's bad enough that we have to click "next page" a dozen times to get to the meat of the story, but pop-up ads get in the way -and when I accidentally click on one of them, I give up, close the screen, and ask google for the answer!! I'm paying $21/month for an ad-free experience! If I wanted to dodge advertisements I'd use a FREE email provider, like gmail!

Why do you even ask for feedback... you really have not intention of eliminating popups, seriously reducing advertising, etc. Have you?

Allow ad blockers.
AOL allows way too many invasive ads, but does not allow ad blockers. -

I am already subscribed to System mechanic but still getting the random ads to get the free trial. If possible, filter the accounts that already have System mechanic and stop showing the ads for the free trial.

Everything that was in the above comment plus, if I inadvertently see who the ad is for, I make a note of NEVER buying that product. AOL used to have ten parts of news and then changed and changed until we not must slough through seventy-one many of which have been there for months. I have nearly stopped clicking on any because it takes so long to load and then has the sentence or two with ads and NEXT. I am dropping my AOL membership which I have had for twenty-five years. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. AOL has done a wonderful job of doing that. I hope the few cents you've gleaned for those terribly intrusive ads is worth it.

While trying to read a story on Trendchaser, those fu-n video ads kept flopping around in the lower right hand corner. Those **** things just run continuously even after trying to close them out. Trendchaser is famous for this. I guess they don't give a hoot about the readers.

I'm attempting to read an article but it's impossible. Because of the popup ads in the bottom right hand corner, and the ads on the top of the article, I can only see two lines at a time. Ridiculous and I'm sick of paying good money for AOL. Gold is a joke!
