Everything on the interface is way too large as it is (and yes, I checked my resolution and it is correct)--so having the ads on the side of the mailbox makes the mailbox cover the whole monitor plus it causes us to have to scroll to read the email. This is unforgiveable and quite disgusting. How can you do this to your loyal customers who have been with you for years?? And the many many large ads all over the news pages is disgusting. Because of this, and all the horrible animal abuse stories I get my news elsewhere.
I've already switched to Internet Explorer browser because the AOL browser is the worst. In fact, everything at AOL is bad. What has happened to the old AOL that I've had since the 90's and loved?

Maybe we should all call the companies in the ads and ask them if they know how annoying this is and tell them that it reflects badly on them.

Those ads are a disgrace. AOL Gold is a disgrace. This was once a well loved program till Gold took over.

Using AOL Gold is infuriating, with large ads covering most of what I am trying to read There is no 'x' and the ad can't be moved aside. I only form the most negative association with the product in the ad, I actually one such company to tell them how annoying their ad is. I wonder if the companies realize any of this. I'm ready to drop AOL

Here I sit trying to read a story, and in the lower right hand corner one of those f-n ads plows in and jumps around. You idiots are f=n goofy. Do you ever consider the readers? **** near impossible to enjoy something when you have that **** flopping around all the time.

My understanding is the removal or stopping advertisement is over. AOL has no access to do this because it belongs to Verizon who took over AOL and Yahoo.

Rid your software of all the over use of advertising and fix the bugs you have created in changing to GOLD. The old AOL 9.8.2 was okay with some bugs as well but much more user friendly. I've been a customer since the startup and have seen all the messes created along the way and still exist.

It is hard to wade through all the ads to find my login on the App. It takes a long time to load the desktop Gold when my computer is trying to load all of the ads.

Why am I having to see ads for aol when I sign on to my screen name? If I switch to a different screen name I have to see the ad again. I pay for aol, not for the ads, so get them the **** off my sign on screen.

I hate seeing the ad for "Poker, Backgammon, and Bingo . . ." every time I enter into one of my email accounts. I don't need reminders of it and it's irritating to see it so often!
