Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.
Hey,
Wanted to let you all know that you now have the ability to block mail from unwanted senders. Please click the link here to learn more: https://help.aol.com/articles/keep-your-inbox-clean-by-blocking-unwanted-mail-in-aol-desktop-gold

I agree with all these terrible comments about the service on AOL!! I used to LOVE it, but now I HATE it-------but continue to use the service with the hope that things MIGHT change after tones of people complain and leave AOL for another carrier!! WHY CAN'T SOMETHING BE DONE!! Is the new owner of AOL trying to destroy it and its users?!???? COME ON, Aol------DO SOMETHING!!

Disgraceful that you have changed the SPAM controls to just one option. I want to be able to block entire domains not just a single email address. WAHT AM I PAYING AOL FOR - - - - more SPAM

Please bring back the wildcard filters. The latest spammer is GoldWild... Dozens of spams a day and I can't block every different address they use. Either fix this or find another dupe to replace me; I'll take my business elsewhere.

I so appreciate your comments. This is crazy. There is no customer service. They have now changed the Welcome page and have the message covering the photos. Everything they do is w/o the customer in mind. Friends ask why I continue to pay - what a chump I am. Any suggestions, other than writing and blowing off steam?

What are you doing with my e-mail address? Suddenly i am receiving a lot of spam, most of it directed to men, and i am female. Some of it borders on pornographic. Also a lot promoting marijuana, which is not in my world. I DO NOT WANT these kinds of e-mails. Why suddenly this glut of this type of e-mail?

Do something about the SPAM! I'm continually blocking email addresses daily and they reappear the next day from a new address. Redirected. It's getting to be too much!

The new way of controlling spam does not work!
Spam senders change their address after one mailing. So each day brings all new addresses to have to list on your new format. Bring back the ability to "BLOCK ALL EMAIL" -

I am getting more and more spam mail each day! It would take all day to go through them and try to block them....and the blocking feature for e-mail doesn't even work anyway! I still get spam from some of the same sites. There must be a way AOL can do a better job of filtering spam mail. As a paying customer, I expect better service. I agree with the person who thinks AOL's IT department is worthless and needs to be replaced with more knowledgeable people.....people who will address the many complaints about the same problems over and over..

I get so much junk mail that I have a hard time keeping up with it. At one time, I could se it so that I only received mail from people in my address book. Please return that option.

sadly, AOL appears to be "self-destructing"

At this moment I have 40 e-mail in the junk file. The sender on every single one of them is either "webserve" or "myip". If you had left us the capability of using wildcard in our e-mail filters they could be eliminated forever in seconds. Which begs the question of why you took that away and why won't you return it to us. It is after all part of what we paid for when we signed on for an AOL account, the ability to filter spam. We've been complaining about this for months, so when are you going to fix it?

We had the ability to block e mails that were offensive now we have to deal with that type spam again and it is not being blocked - please return to other format we are paying for the service and it is not performing

I cringe at some of the lewd emails I get which I have open to get the email address of the sender so that I can block it

place button on bottom of email folder to block email from this user. if a highlighted email could be blocked by just clicking blockn then we wouldnt have to waste so much time going back and forth cutting and pasting addresses from messages to the spam block box which mine is getting pretty full now

I feel the same. Now you have totally wrecked the way mail is listed. You eliminated the year. Unbelievable. I have to develop my intuition to determine what year it belongs to in my files. You are eliminating every last feature that worked so well in the old AOL. This is basic, basic junk.

bring back the old AOL.>.. that did not have all the emails going to spam... this is critical to my business and loss of clients due to your company being incompetent. this should never happen that new email should go to spam.
All you are linterested in lis ADVERTISING BUSINESSES... NOT CARING ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO PAY FOR EMAIL EACH MONTH.
