I don't like having to agree to delete an e-mail. It's one step that is annoying.
In order to disable the prompt, please follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Mail’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Uncheck ‘Confirm before deleting items’, and close the window (changes are saved automatically).

Dear AOL,
Why must I delete twice? This takes double the amount of time. Please return back to the original procedure for deleting files which is in one click.
Thank you! -

AOL has made their customers come last rather then first. What a shame

Are you going to fix the SPAM and Delete problems in your programming or not? Simple question because if not, I will be looking for another mail server!

Now it takes extra time to delete mail. Why did you add the pop up boxes whenever you delete or permanently delete your mail? Seems AOL is on a downhill spiral. Now that one has to pay, you get less.

Your latest idea of ASKING if we want to DELETE mail is stupid. If I didn't want to delete it I wouldn't. Also, since you took away one of your better ideas, IMing, I have lost all my buddy list people that I talked to almost every day.Talk about dumb ideas. Bring back the buddy list.

Help needed. Every time I delete an e-mail a box comes up and asks me if I am sure I want to delete this e-mail. I need a faster way to delete several e-mails at once or a delete that is faster. Is there a way to do this? Thank you

Why do you keep changing things? I hate it. Now can't delete anything without that stupid pop up saying are you sure you want to delete this item. When I have multiple things to delete, this is a major waste of time. On the verge of switching as I'm really starting to hate ****** service and now you're charging for it.

I have just spent ONE AND A HALF HOURS deleting e-mails and dumping trash and my scroll bar has not moved. Who ever thought it was a good idea to-read your mail-deceide you weren't interested-delete it-answer the box "are you sure..."-then go to dump your trash only to repeat and repeat and the boxes aren't even close to each other ( so you are constantly racing your mouse around) must need a life!!! This was the most rediculous "time suck" yet, and I probably have 300 or 400 to still do--like I said the scroll bar never moved. Can AOL see if they can come up with a MUCH MORE EFFICENT WAY to DELETE e-mail and trash mail---there did not use to be all these extra steps involved.

having to say yes to delete an email is redundant and a real pain

please remove the pop up notification of confirming the deletion of names and going back to the top of the list after the name has been deleted from the address book it is really very inconvenient.

WHAT R U thinking? We already HAD a fail-safe for deleting mail -- IF you perchance accidentally deleted mail, all you needed to do was go to Recently Deleted Mail, and restore it.
WHY did you add this irritating and unnecessary step? Please get rid of it!!! -

Change your delete procedure back to a one-click. This new two-click stinks.

Return to the old delete system. It's a real pain to have to keep answering "Do I wish to delete" Whoever came up with this system needs to be replaced. I want the old way back where I delete and delete without having to stop. If I didnt want it deleted I would not click delete in the first place.

Fix the deleting. I am not going to sit here for hours using your dysfunctional delete system! What is wrong with your programmers? I honestly thought when Verizon came on to the scene that things would get better but they have only gotten worse. Gives negative shine on Verizon for sure!

PERMANENTLY DELETE "ALL" OLD EMAILS INSTEAD OF HAVING TO INDIVIDUALLY HAVING TO DELETE ONE AT A TIME AND THEN HIT THE "ARE YOU SURE" BUTTON. THIS TAKES FOREVER

Be able to delete emails from the inbox with ONE click as it used to be. Now you have to click a second time to verify that you meant it. With the advent of so much spam mail this is quite annoying. If you mess up you can always recover it from Recently Deleted file.
