2 step verification for log in security
I set up the 2 step verification for log in security. The first time I logged in after setup desktop gold browser ask me for a 4 digit code sent by email before i could log in which was great. The first log in procedure never ask me if i wanted my computers i use or the wifi ip address i use (not sure which) to be remembered so the next time i log in i wouldnt have to enter 4 digit code. The second time i logged into my account after the 2 step verification was set up it never ask me for a four digit code sent to my email and all subsequent log ins after that. I called tech support and was informed that I would have to log into myaccount.aol.com through my google chrome browser and delete out the logged on session under my recent activity in order for the 2 step verification to work each time i log in. I have several accounts including google chrome gmail that i set up the 2 step verification and each time i log in the program ask me for a code through my phone text to log in and i dont have to go to another operating system to delete out my most recent activity. Could you please take a look at this and allow me to set up my 2 step verification so every time i log in to my aol account it ask me for a security code without having to delete out activity in other piggy backed operating systems. Thank you
You can find more information on the 2 step verification and why sometimes you are not prompted to enter a code in the following help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/2-step-verification-stronger-than-your-password-alone

If I am suddenly required to use two-factor identification, I will be canceling my AOL subscription. It's costly enough as it is.

Need to add a method to remove a device from the “two-step verification security”. Once the Gold app recognizes a valid login, and the code is entered, it never ask for another code. This is a significant security hole. A Device can be stolen, lost, or whatever. Other software has this feature. I have tried everything and can’t get the software to unrecognize my Desktop! I saw another post that also talked about this – and the answer was ridiculous. I was a early subscriber to testing the Gold release and never ran into this type of response. I also just got off of a Chat session – and it was disappointing as well. I know AOL is better than this. Please pass this onto the Development staff.
