Please return to the old date format of month/day/year. Thanks.
The option to change the Date format in your mailbox is now available.
Here are the steps to change the Date format:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the toolbar.
3. Go to the ‘Mail’ category on the left.
4. Next to ‘Date Style’ select one of the options below.
Date Only (Month/Day/Year)
Show time for mail received today
5. Changes are saved automatically, so you can close the Settings window.
In case you do not see the ‘Date Style’ option, you will need to update the AOL Desktop Gold to the latest revision. To do that, click on the Help menu on the top, select ‘Check for Updates’, and after 10-15 minutes close and re-open the software.

Incredible that you guys can make such a boneheaded decision. The only way to efficiently and productively sort my mail is with an accurate date. Just telling me that came on Thursday is completely useless information. Go back to mm/dd/yy/

what in the world is wrong with you???? Put the date back the way it was.
You cannot seem to eliminate massive amounts of filthy SPAM mail, but somehow you manage to re-format the date for who=knows-what-reason. AND YOU DON"T BOTHER TO ANNOUNCE YOU ARE DOING IT!!!!! WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA???? -

It is frustrating that AOL is a paid service that chose to make changes to the Email Inbox without alerting its customers. I need to see the format changed to the way AOL has used since its beginning with the DATE as the order of email arrival. The time should be left in the body of the email when it is opened. AOL has initiated a very confusing and frustrating format of not only listing the Time that shows on the current day's email but on the day before, it's shows "Yesterday." Yesterday always has a date unless people are talking in a conversation. These emails are documents and they need to be in recorded document form which is the Date. It is easier to find by the date. AOL is doing way too much with this awful format of Time, Yesterday and then the date (on the 3rd day). It's good to update but AOL needed to give us details and see how it would be feasible to the AOL community. Your price went up but I think AOL wants its customers to go to its competition.
AOL go back to the old inbox style for your customers' sake. This is a no brainer. -

My wife and I both use this e-mail,and she wrote a comment that I totally agree with the other day. We are in our 70's and 80's and need the date back on our e-mail.Please let us know if you are going to change it back or do we need to use another provider. Dalton

Restore the old date format (dd/mm/yyyy) for displayed for email, this new format is useless and disruptive. It's difficult to sort through my mail with this new format. There was nothing wrong with the old format. I've been a member of AOL since 1995. With this ridiculous, unnecessary change you're about to loose a customer!

You need to bring back the dates on new emails rather than the time Please put back the old version The new way is terrible. You can easily delete messages that you want

Who decided the date and year were too difficult to follow? You have dumbed it down. Now put it back.

I completely agree. How can I tell where to put these in my files? I know what time I come on, but I can't analyze my mail's arrival if I am not here.

I am organized for the date my emails come in. I do not care about the time they came in. They are always in line of order they came in. Please change the format to show the month/date/year instead of hour or yesterday and 3 days latter show month and day and not the year. I do not know who came up with this new format, but it sucks. My old emails are filed by the day, month & year and that is the way I want it to stay including the new emails arriving. You should have a way of letting the customer choose the way his or her system works. If you do not have that option take the time to create that option in stead of ******* off your customers.

Really helps having the FULL month/day/year when looking for something specific!

I am not happy with the new AOL Gold format on my emails. I prefer the date and year. I get many emails in one day so the time is not necessary for me.
When I used the previous format the email would give me the time so this unnecessary. Please bring back the previous format. -

Whose dumb idea was it to ***** up the date formatting on e-mails. I count at least 6 different date formats in my inbox. Just use the MM/DD/YYYY as you always have and quit screwing around with the formats. It's too hard to follow.
Serious;y. Some have just a time, some say "yesterday" some have the month and day, some have month and day plus day spelled out, etc.
1. "Time" is not a date.
2. The day spelled out is not a date.
3. Month and day is not a date, i.e. - what year? -
