system unresponsive and the e-mail inbox window does not refresh after overlayed with another window
After I login to AOL Desktop gold the AOL system is hanging and unresponsive for about 30 seconds before it becomes responsive again. Also when I click on read e-mail the AOL desktop system becomes unresponsive again and hangs for about 30 seconds before email displays. It does not appear the e-mail has been refreshed. ALso when I open an email to view the contents and then close the email, the email inbox listing screen contents is wiped and not refreshed automatically after it is overlayed with another window. I have to click on read email again to be able to view the email inbox contents again whenever a different AOL window displays over AOL's email listing. Please fix this. The AOL desktop software is a nitemare..

Today is 9/11/24 and yesterday (9/10/24) you applied an update. Yay!! Is it fixed? NO!!! It's worse than it was!! What is wrong with your programmers/coders? And the price is going up???? You are shameful, that is a truth!!

You did an update on 8/8/24 and now it's worse and doesn't even say "Not Responding". That's a step in the right direction but HOW ABOUT GETTING IT TO RESPOND!!!!
It is now 8/19/24 and still no progress with this problem. It may be time to start moving my files to another email provider. It is again stating "NOT RESPONDING", and takes many minutes, not seconds to respond to anything. This is really unacceptable!! Do something!!!! -

Why is AOL so unresponsive? I have no problems with other programs. Even typing this took me over 10 minutes because of so much lag. I can actually click on an email and walk away to do something else, and when I get back it's still not fully loaded. Tell me why I'm paying so much money for AOL Gold? Every time there is an update with Windows this happens. You folks need to pick up your game and update Gold immediately!! Today is 7/18/24 and still this problem is in play....what does it take to have the programmers fix this problem. I actually tried to sign into a site I frequent, and again it kept buffering and I kept getting the unresponsive message for over 10 minutes. FIX IT ALREADY!!!!

This seems to have gotten worse recently. A lot of delays and freezing. I've done everything suggested, re-install aol gold, clear the browser cache, & update. Just froze again now!!!
I don't have this problem on my phone - only my Windows 11 laptop.
Please correct or advise!!

I'm really tired of seeing "Not Responding" multiple times when using AOL. I've been a customer for many, many years and this is very frustrating! Please fix this problem.

Just like everything in this **** Country nothing works correctly, lets try employing Legal American Citizens instead of outsourcing to India and Pakistan ,so sick of hearing these mutts when I call . Would really like to speak with someone from the U.S.A. Companies like AOL, ARE ANTI AMERICAN .This browser sucks because of the freaking outsourcing.

I have the same problem ongoing for many months. AOL Gold sucks so bad I'm surprised it doesn't implode.

I have just purchased a new laptop and the "aol is not responding" message is worse than my old desktop when I was using windows 7. Is this a windows 11 problem or a continuing AOL issue?

What did you do ?!? Unresponsive, and always crashing. Everything is horrible now. Change it back or I'm going elsewhere.

Same problem.Go to read an e-mail and constantly get "UNRESPONSIVE" and have to wait 30 seconds or longer before it clears itself. Sometimes shuts off by itself and have to reboot AOL.
Running 9.8.2 on windows 10. How do I upgrade to 11.0.2510? -

Agreed, same problem. Seems it deliberate so AOL can sell their cleaning tool. I was fine until about 6 months ago

I've been experiencing and have reported this as a bug for over a month now with NO change except for often getting WORSE with hang-ups being unable to get "not responding" to change to responding. The lags are longer than 30 seconds often when trying to execute any commands. I've been with AOL for decades and this is the very worst it has ever performed!
