We have investigated this issue and are not able to reproduce any problems with the celebrity voices on AOL Desktop Gold. Please consider uninstalling your AOL Desktop Gold from the Add/Remove programs function. Then re-install AOL Desktop Gold.
In some cases, we have seen that Anti-virus software sometimes removes the sound files from the machine.
Please also use the Report a Bug feature from the Help menu of AOL Desktop Gold if you continue to see this issue after installing new. This will send us critical information that we can use to determine the cause of the issue.

You asked what I think and i think this should never have happened. The various celebrity voices worked one morning but not that afternoon......and I had made no changes. Uninstalling and reinstalling should not be up to me. It's an AOL "thing.:

The celebrity voices still are not working, something that we pay for as subscribers. I think a dime a day reduction is appropriate.
