My spellcheck does not correct the word i type. It has a squiggly red line underneath the mis-spelled word but won't correct it.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are investigating this issue. In the meantime we have addressed this issue in the latest update for AOL Desktop Gold.

do not want to see Welcome Screen on signon - Would like to remove
I would like to have the option to remove the welcome screen at startup as I can do with Aol Search
We will look into alternative options to open other than AOL.com Welcome page. However, we are making major changes to our AOL Welcome page in order to provide users with a better experience with improved news sources.

BROWSER PROBLEM
WHY DO SITES TELL ME TO UPDATE MY BROWSER? THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ME ON GMAIL OR EDGE!!!
The latest version of AOL Desktop Gold has the latest browser which is up to date. Sometimes web sites require a new version of the browser before our users have received the AOL Desktop Gold update which includes the latest browser. You can always check that you are on the latest version by visiting Help -> Check for Updates.

No notice half the time that email has been sent. 3-5 waiting for sent mail for come up to see if it had.
Half time sending an email never told it was sent..Moving over to Sent, it's takes anywhere from 3-5 minutes to find out IF it was sent. Between the screen freezing, "AOL not responding, then it does, the circle appears then Not resonding appears, then screen freezing ALL THE WHILE the adds keep appearing! Even with no mail in mailbox and then Mail is sent and recieved, no "You got Mail" is heard!

The Write window for ADG is not go away. Member called thrice, it is now working but in some emails that he will going to send, it is still happening. Hope you can fix it as soon as possible. Thank You!

AOL is not preventing spam from Japan (.jp) going into SPAM folder
Lately, I've been receiving excessive emails from Japan (.jp) in my SPAM folder. This type of email should be blocked from even going into my SPAM folder.
In general, the amount of all emails going into my SPAM folder varies from a few a day to literally 100 per day. Why is this count so inconsistent?
Please mark these emails as Spam and our Spam detection will start to remove them from your mailbox.

AOL DOWNLOADS
I had to delete AOL because I thought software was corrupted. I've been trying to download AOL Desktop Gold for two days but can't see how to do it without downloading other *. You need to have a site so people can find it and download it easily. Frustrated and ***.

New update resets all of my preferences?!
WTF?! All of my window size and position settings were reset with the latest update, as well as other preference settings?!! DON'T DO THAT AGAIN. It's a huge inconvenience and a bonehead mistake by your programmers. STOP RELEASING UPDATES WHEN THEY ARE CLEARLY NOT READY. Ain't nobody got time for this shizz. 😡😡😡

Browser/Email problems
I'm having a number of problems. When I delete one email from my mailbox, it frequently deletes the next 2 or 3 as well. Loading emails to read often requires several attempts since the email shows up blank. Pages I am reading often close out with an aol search error message even though it was loaded correctly. The system has slowed down.

Enlarging a page
When I try to enlarge a website by using the square box next to the red X, there's a pop-up showing a multiple split screen overlay. Please omit the split screen feature. All I want to do is enlarge the page like before.
This is a result of the windows magnifying functionality.

unable to print a web-page
aol desktop gold can detect and print an aol website or page but other than that it leaves blank page when attempting to print

Adg is not working properly
When i am opening ADG , it is not showing the mails and such , I have to restart my computer for itto works proprly

I am disappointed that it seems the old desktop gold is gone, and what I get is the form that's accessible online when going to aol.com. I
I'm afraid I don't have an idea for you. It seems it isn't worth my while to stick with my old paid aol membership, if I have to have the welcome screen be the same as the free one online. I'm still on the fence, but I think I may cancel after 25+ years of membership.
We continue to add new features as well as maintain the security components within AOL Desktop Gold to keep our users safe online. If there are specific features you would like to see added, please submit them through this user feedback.

aol news is terribly biased, trump winning the election is ninth news article today
AOL should be unbiased in news reporting. Trump winning the election received a ninth place reporting article behind all the democratic wailing and moaning.

AOL Desktop Beta (allow installation on Admin accounts)
Please allow the installer to work on full Admin accounts. Trying to test it in CrossOver for Linux but the installer wont work due to that.
Installing the AOL Desktop Gold software as an Admin can have some adverse effects due to the installation location being different for Admin than a normal user. We recommended that you install the software as the same level user that will be launching the software each time.

After reviewing this issue, we have determined that the root cause is due to a change in Windows print behavior. We are working them to understand why windows print preview is causing this issue.

Fix AOL. Improve the server. Get a faster and larger main frame.
