Return to the way it was in 2001
I have been a paying member since 2001. This AOL is vastly inferior garbage compared to then. I have lost the ability to access one of my 4 screen names and I NEED it. Your customer service is useless. You have taken away the ability to filter out junk emails. Taken away personal profiles. Taken instant messaging. Go back to the way it was in 2001 and return all of this. Your "improvements" are why a lot of people I know are surprised when I tell them I have AOL because they think you are out of business. Get rid of ads that are scams. I received one for "drive storage" which looked like they were imitating Apple and wanting me to download.
You provide a small window for me to state my complaint about receiving scam emails which act like an imitation of Apple. In other words, I received an ad asking me to download in order to get more drive storage. The cloud logo looks like an Apple logo, which it is not. This needs to stop. AOL is accepting ads which are scamming people.

AOL is no longer user-friendly. Since the last changes several months ago, it is SO SLOW! WHY?
I agree with many others, AOL is SO SLOW now, WHY? Also, the new set-up with corresponding with someone back and forth is now SO confusing. And lastly, there is no longer the option to "block senders" in spam. Why is AOL so bad now?

Deleting spam emails on AOL Desktop Gold
when deleting spam emails on the Aol Desktop Gold, it was bouncing back on the spam folder, it was not deleted. but when we deleted emails from the webmail, it was deleted but not reflecting on the recently deleted folder

If I have the CORRECT PASSWORD I shouldn't have to verify myself!! with that being said...TRY OFFERING MORE USER FRIENDLY WAYS such as A security question where the answer wouldn't change or time, such as "What city and state were you born in?"

Better monitoring on the comments section of news stories
There is a poster on the board that goes by THEORIGINALMITTENS. See below for the way she gets past the board censors. This could easily be stopped if you would just automatically block any post that contains Alt Codes. Muting doesn't work because she just makes a new screen name (same name but different numbers after the @ sign). I've seen her go through up to 7 new names a day.
