  1. Keep being prompted to buy an additional aol desktop gold subscription

    I keep being prompted to pay for a desktop gold account for one of my user names. Why must I pay for another account when I already have one? It goes on to tell me that I will have to retrieve my email from aol.com if I dont purchase another gold account. Isnt this double dipping?

  2. Email bug again.

    Starting today (6/3) my emails are being rejected... The dreaded Mailer email shows that the address I'm sending to has added an aol.com to the address for whatever reason... Wazzz up now??

  3. Once again tech gave me the wrong info

    See your reply below. This does not bring up AOL Gold on my hard drive. Please give me the correct info. I need to know where to find AOL Gold on my hard drive:

    The AOL Desktop Gold is installed in a different location, then the old AOL Desktop. To access the AOL Desktop installation folder, first, open the Run box (press the Windows Key + R), then type the following path inside it and click OK: LOCALAPPDATA\AOLDesktop

  6. AOL Mail snafu

    On Friday 5/27/2018 I saved an email to my "On AOL folder" in a sub folder
    On Monday 5/28/2018 not only was my "On AOL" folder empty, my address book was gone, and all sent/saved mail after 2014.
    WTF is going on with AOL.
    The only reason to keep AOL, is so much data is archived on it.... if I can't retrieve that data, there isn't much point in remaining on AOL, now is there?

  7. Offer the Enhanced features of Aol Computer Checkup to your customers.

    When I had to reinstall Aol Computer Checkup I notice the were Enhanced Features to the Program. Why does Aol not offer the enhanced features to their customers.

  8. Blocking Pop-Ups does not work, and articles cannot then be read. FIX IT!

    Click on any article with text, and you can't read it because pop-ups ads keep popping up -- even when you've selected to "Block all Pop-Ups." And, the same ads keep coming up. I lost count of how many times I've given up and clicked out of some article. AOL is beginning to have the same reputation that COMCAST has. POOR SERVICE!

  10. AOL Reading & Writing our DB folder every time we start AOL software

    This file:
    "User ID.sqlite.backup-journal" in the AOL Desktop Data DB Folder killing our hard drive by reading and writing for 20 minutes every time we start the AOL software.
    Would you please find the solution to stop this annoying file from doing the above and killing our hard drive every time we start AOL.

  12. Search mail problem - Why have you closed this post??

    You gave instruction on how to search for email and closed the post. I know how to search for email. My problem is that when I search by email or entire email nothing on AOL comes up. See post below:

    Have mentioned this several times but still no fix. When searching mail by email in order to delete old mail, only mail in my PFC shows up even though there are many on AOL. Please fix this. I use this function almost daily to clean out the mailboxes.

  17. I can't do it any more!

    I was TRYING to read BuzzFeed, and behold those fu--ing videos kept invading the screen on the lower left. Is that really necessary? I "X" it out, and the **** things keep coming back. I am NOT going to put up with it. I'll just forego reading the rest of the material. AOL has gone to **** in a handbasket the last few years. Maybe it is time to find a new provider.

  19. Every time I sign in I am met with a partially completed write mail screen that I completed and sent some time ago. I can close it out, but

    Every time I sign in I am met with a partially completed write mail screen that I completed and sent some time ago. I can close it out, and then proceed to use my AOL Gold but next time I sign on the same write mail screen appears. This has been doing on for at least two weeks now and it is a nuisance. How can I permanently get rid of this problem at sign on? (I just downloaded the Windows 10 update hoping that might fix this problem, but it made no difference)

    SERIOUSLY what an awful mess you have created with "GOLD"? IF I see one more time "NOT RESPONDING" I will scream. I try to read a story and when I click close I lose the WHOLE Welcome Screen (I'm sure this is ALL part of your NEW and IMPROVED AOL) I've been with you guys for a long time but I'm thinking it's not going to be much longer with this **** that you have now presented us with. Just cut your losses and go back to the last version.THIS is NOT worth my money and it makes me sad…
