For the most part, I actually like aol Desktop Gold, except for the ads. There are a few quirky things that are different, but no problems. In fact, a couple things have been fixed that bothered me from the previous version.

AMEN! Some pages are becoming impossible to read because of the amount of pop-ups. Can you image the bandwidth hit, and folks complaints about their computers being slow. It ain't always start up programs. This is getting out of hand. You are turning off more people than you think.

Please remove the ads on the side bar when I open and read my email and when I am sending an email. Or at least allow me to cover the side bar up so they do not distract me
I have been an AOL customer for at least 25 years and NOW am considering changing to another company. -

In the previous version of AOL Desktop 9.8.2 there were no adds. Please also try to remove as many adds from the new version wich is AOL Desktop Gold.

I will just agree with the comments already set forth. I have been a user since before it became AOL and have to say you make it very difficult to stay. Browsing has become a pain with all the pop up ads.

Email is much harder to read and and you have put a permanent ad in space whch used to display part of my emails. I have had AOL since the early 90's. This is the first time I am so angry I am considering going to a different internet provider.
Please return to the previous software immediately.

I'm really getting upset and will make a change if you don't stop forcing ads and popups on me.....I pay $16+ and I'm wasting my time on AOL....Give me a choice to block ads.

I've been using AOL for my email for about 20 years. Up until now, I loved it---and understood how to use it. Now I often can't even see what's in my mail box and I don't like your new "Inbox". Had too many ads appearing before but now it's so much worse.

The ads are less distracting & annoying at the bottom of the screen where you had them recently. Why did you change them back to the right of the screen? They interfere greatly with being able to see what new emails have come in & reading emails.

Too many ads like the big one on the right of mail you are reading. Also when you go to read welcome screen articles, you get to the site and a a few lines of article and then says next page. Go next page and tons more ads. This is ridiculous. I one time clicked next page 15 times. I no longer go past one page. Might cancel my paid trial. With paying for a service there should be none of this.

You decided last evening to add ads to my personal emails. It now makes it impossible to read the entire email. And, even after I opted out of this, it still pops up, both when I open list of emails and the actual emails. How can you decide this without my agreement to such?
I called for tech support and the guy was unable to help in any way. Even with making the email list page to be set back as it was before you did this. Who can address this? Who will take care of it? -
