File Downloading
When an email has a file attached now, (1) it doesn't open like they used to and (2) there is no means to open files via Aol software like before. This is crazy! Now if you download something you have to find it on your computer which isn't always easy.

Aol will not download attachments. This has happened before periodically but has now been happening all week.. It is crazy. I have to send to my husbands computer or my gmail account. You got to fix this!

You go to the download manager and pick a folder you want every download to end up with. To make things easy , make a extra folder on your desktop and pick that to be your aol download folder. It will make your life a lot easier.

Need to open the attachment (automatically launch whatever software is necessary to view the attachment: Word, Excel, etc) rather than download. Downloading now clutters my computer and I have to go look for the download. This is AWFUL!!!! Change AOL back to how it was, please!!!!

Would like to be able to open an attachment without having to save it first, like Outlook does! I don't always want to save the attachments...that should be a choice made after opening it. I know AOL has always done it this way, but it's always been annoying!

In old AOL Desktop versions (?before 9) and in using AOL Mail on other browsers, there is an option to view an attachment without having download and save it (there is also an option to download and save). The current version (and Desktop 9.8) only allows a download and save option. I prefer the old way. Sometimes I view an attachment only once and don't need to save it to my Document files. I just like to open the file, read it, close it, and move on.

Downladed files used to open upon download, it was an option. There was a place in the "FILE"
drop down in the upper left where you could go to files, it's gone. Now, when I download something I have to leave the Aol software and find it on my computer. -

Stop sending emails that have "no reply" on them for starters. We are trying to save our beloved AOL mail.
Incorporate ALL version 98.2 features and then work on improving gold.
Version 98.2 was fast, easy to use and fun to use. -

Reinstate all of the great features of Version 98.2 and THEN improve Gold. Plus do not send a NO REPLY email when you write to me. That is annoying and wastes time.sending photos with the 25 mg limit stinks. The 98.2 you could resize them IN THE EMAIL for sending or printing. Put that back.
I do miss the animations that you could put into email, also.
AOL has always been the greatest email service. Make it great again.
