I hate the gold again and again my mail takes for ever to open now seems everything I do is taking forever to open this is only on aol gold .. it seems everything AOL does new screws up my computer starting to think it might be time to use another internet

So many problems with Gold version. Terrible. And now we have to pay for this disaster? I am a 20+ year customer and will not be able to stay on after my free trial if this stays like this. Instead of improving things, you have taken away the features we all love and you have added so many steps for us users that it is ridiculous. I also need to have a different color for each user name and that has also been taken away. So many complaints on this forum but only a handful are answered by AOL. They obviously do not care whether they lose all their old customers? Let us use the 9.8.2 and ADD the security issues to the old version. This is not workable.

I use to be able to block emails in my spam fold. I can't do that on this Gold version. Reporting spam doesn't tell me that the sender is blocked? I want to know they are blocked. Get rid of the side bar expansion on emails. I can't expand the email bar as far as I use too because of the side bar ad. UGH.

I am very disappointed that my FREE AOL has been discontinued and I WAS FORCED TO PURCHASE AOL GOLD @ $4.95 per month. Not Good! The layout/format on AOL GOLD SUCKS! Why didn't you improve AOL GOLD to resemble, at least the format in my prior plan?

Terrible product - software locks up regularly, content of emails will not load, am a 20 year user and expect more reliability than I am getting -if not corrected by mid February will go to another service provider

PS, in case no one's noticed yet, we can't do right-click to insert photos in email any more, your easy auto-fill email addressing has gone Poof! since everything now comes up instead of your usuals, EVERYTHING comes in tabs now, even if your previous standard was to use no tabs at all, AND you can't right click links to open in new windows!!!

AOL PROGRAMMERS ARE "TOO LAZY" TO INVESTIGATE ERRORS. AND JUST ASSUME THAT MEMBERS ARE TOO STUPID.TO USE THE PROGRAM.
THEY JUST GIVE YOU TUTORIAL & CALL CASE CLOSED WITHOUT INVESTIGATING.

I am a long time AOL Customer, my husband and I pay $29.99 for AOL. I am very unhappy. My husband and all my friends no one to change to AOL Gold. Now, I have just learned that I cannot use my printer/scanner/fax with AOL Desktop Gold which I have been able to to use with AOL Blue.THIS IS WRONG. Help me as a loyal and long time customer. Why I have been punished? This is bad business most specially to those people who are paying.

When using the address book in the previous version of AOL, it was easy to enter the first letter of the name I was seeking and it would jump to those names beginning with that letter. It works that way in almost all other programs such as word processors, etc. Not in AOL GOLD.

How long do you project we have to wait to restore our 9.8.2 or greater version?

Gold is HORRIBLE! There is no background image for your desktop (I loved my Scottish flag and purply toolbar), you can't see anything about your other accounts in the 'switch screen name' bit whereas with REAL AOL you could see your other account names and how many emails were in them, it's just a totally TERRIBLE idea and execution. Where is the background image for my emails? I loved having stationary! I've been PAYING for my AOL account almost 15 years now, what did I and other AOL customers 'do' to you to deserve such trash in response?! This is just as bad an idea as when you took the boards to html format (you totally killed them off in just a year or two because of how bad the change was), and getting rid of Hometown pages & the server we saved everything on, lost to us 2008-9? Why do you ALWAYS manage to do the WRONG THING and generally go backwards in offerings and quality?!

Go back to the old AOL

Bring 9.8 back, scrap the the Gold, it is junk

I ask questions about non working items and how to items and never get a good or logical response. AOL Gold is really a POS.

AOL Gold is not usable as the previous AOL version. It seems as the current owner wants to destroy AOL. If this is the goals, it is being accomplished.

It seriously questions the capability of AOL and it reflects poorly on the leadership of AOL. It is total disrespect and no appreciation of its paying customers to release an AOL version of such a poor quality.

change the name to aol lead ****....that name fits perfectly. also fire the brainless toad that came up with this. you'll note I now have a new email address

Just keep 9.8 as it was, add your extra security if you must, and just rename it GOLD but changing all the program is going to drive us long time users away,, this **** thing don't work right, and threatening us with a 1-17 deadline for a program that dont work, is criminal,,
If this about charging 5 bucks for the service, then just charge it and let us choose 9.8 or Gold,,, but dont force us to buy a program that is incomplete and still being tested , by us users,,,,
I hope the government intervenes this is just not acceptable

I especially hate it when I'm typing an email and AOL slows to a crawl, takes several seconds to fill in the words I'm typing. Often it freezes completely. I often have to close it with Windows Task Manager and re-open it , only to have it freeze again. Sometimes it freezes the entire computer and my only recourse is to power the computer off.

Bring back the old AOL or I will use another provider.

It sucks that you can't "save" your "saved e-mail" folders anymore with GOLD, works fine in 9.8!
