You can bring back our ability to change the sounds!
Add this feature back in a future upgrade if you can't do it any other way. But many of us really enjoy putting new or just favorite sounds to our AOL experience. I realize that much of the changes are to better AOL and I have heard many complaints; this doesn't need to be one of them. It will make the changes a little bit easier for some, especially those who don't like change. This is a minor thing that will make many happy.

The custom greeting sounds are now available with the latest update for the AOL Desktop Gold. To customize your greeting sounds, follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign on.
2. Click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘General Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Go to the ‘Personalization’ category on the left.
5. Select the ‘Sounds’ tab.
*As an alternative you can go to the Keyword(CTRL+K): sounds.
To choose the sound categories, click on the ‘Options’ button, and after selecting your preferred greetings click on ‘Apply’. You can also preview the sounds before and after applying them, by clicking on the Play button next to the sound name.
If you do not have the custom greeting sounds, it means that you will have to upgrade your AOL Desktop Gold software to the latest revision. To do that, click on the ‘Help’ menu on the top right, and select ‘Check for Updates’ from the drop-down menu. After this leave the software opened for 10-15 minutes, in order for the update to download in the background, then close and re-open the AOL Desktop Gold for the update to be applied.

For the money I pay, Let me be able to use my own sounds that AOL allowed me to use in the past. Not these kiddie sounds and others that you want me to use which I have disabled. Time to move back into the future and not be some sort of bottleneck

We should be able to change the sounds for NEW MAIL. The "click" just doesn't do it for me. We could do this on the AOL desktop before Gold came out.

Fire the person who took away our ability to use out own sounds. Why can't you go back to way we could customize out sounds like in 9.8
We want to use our own sounds, not the junk your trying to make us use. JUST LET US USE OUR OWN SOUNDS....how hard is that?. -

Thank you for returning some sounds which are soooo much better than the default voice.....However having said that I've got sounds that I used with 98.8 on my computer and would like very much to use them .......how do I do that???

When is AOL going to let me use my own custom sounds like I was able to do in 9.8 ? This was supposed to have been fixed right after AOL Gold came out.....and I'm still waiting.

Let us use the sounds for all different things that you took away. You say you wanted to make aol easy with gold but all you did was take away making aol personal to everyone. example I used jon bon jovis voice for welcome, you've got mail, goodbye and you had many other sounds to pick. Gold is terrible please make another version like the last Aol.

SORRY FOR ALL CAPS. I AM USING WINDOWS 10 AND AOL DESK TOP GOLD. I AM UNABLE TO GO TO THAT WEB SITE. WHEN I SWITCHED TO WINDOWS 10. I AM LOOKING FOR WHERE I CAN SELECT, FOR EXAMPLE, BARRY WHITE FOR WELCOME, DREW BARRYMORE FOR YOU'VE GOT MAIL, AND CHERYL CROW FOR GOOD BY. CAN YOU SEND ME A HYPER LINK WHERE I CAN RE-DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN.

The sound for new mail set by default by aol gold is dumb. Need to add 3-4 choices for new mail sounds
