You can bring back our ability to change the sounds!
Add this feature back in a future upgrade if you can't do it any other way. But many of us really enjoy putting new or just favorite sounds to our AOL experience. I realize that much of the changes are to better AOL and I have heard many complaints; this doesn't need to be one of them. It will make the changes a little bit easier for some, especially those who don't like change. This is a minor thing that will make many happy.

The custom greeting sounds are now available with the latest update for the AOL Desktop Gold. To customize your greeting sounds, follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign on.
2. Click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘General Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Go to the ‘Personalization’ category on the left.
5. Select the ‘Sounds’ tab.
*As an alternative you can go to the Keyword(CTRL+K): sounds.
To choose the sound categories, click on the ‘Options’ button, and after selecting your preferred greetings click on ‘Apply’. You can also preview the sounds before and after applying them, by clicking on the Play button next to the sound name.
If you do not have the custom greeting sounds, it means that you will have to upgrade your AOL Desktop Gold software to the latest revision. To do that, click on the ‘Help’ menu on the top right, and select ‘Check for Updates’ from the drop-down menu. After this leave the software opened for 10-15 minutes, in order for the update to download in the background, then close and re-open the AOL Desktop Gold for the update to be applied.

I would appreciate it if you allowed us to change our AOL sounds in GOLD like we used to do in previous versions of AOL. Please let me know if you plan on adding this feature. It would be disappointing if AOL went down instead of up with its newest version.

Please reinstate celebrity voices. While AOL's "robo-voice" does the job, it lacks personality -- too dull. I'd like to get my Lisa Kudrow voice back. Thanks.

DO NOT include any files in the "AudioResources / en-us" folder. Users have changed many of these sounds (You've Got Mail, etc.) to something else that they like, and EVERY update brings them back to the original sounds.

I have been with AOL for 20 years. Why the change to an inferior product and now it will cost? My animals used to love to hear the voice say Good-Bye C****ce. They knew it was out time. BRING back the product we all knew and loved to have stayed with AOL in the past.
