You can bring back our ability to change the sounds!
Add this feature back in a future upgrade if you can't do it any other way. But many of us really enjoy putting new or just favorite sounds to our AOL experience. I realize that much of the changes are to better AOL and I have heard many complaints; this doesn't need to be one of them. It will make the changes a little bit easier for some, especially those who don't like change. This is a minor thing that will make many happy.

The custom greeting sounds are now available with the latest update for the AOL Desktop Gold. To customize your greeting sounds, follow these steps:
1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign on.
2. Click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left.
3. Select ‘General Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
4. Go to the ‘Personalization’ category on the left.
5. Select the ‘Sounds’ tab.
*As an alternative you can go to the Keyword(CTRL+K): sounds.
To choose the sound categories, click on the ‘Options’ button, and after selecting your preferred greetings click on ‘Apply’. You can also preview the sounds before and after applying them, by clicking on the Play button next to the sound name.
If you do not have the custom greeting sounds, it means that you will have to upgrade your AOL Desktop Gold software to the latest revision. To do that, click on the ‘Help’ menu on the top right, and select ‘Check for Updates’ from the drop-down menu. After this leave the software opened for 10-15 minutes, in order for the update to download in the background, then close and re-open the AOL Desktop Gold for the update to be applied.

This abrupt stop of AOL 10 Is also a poor way to make a change. I sure hope that you will make the GOLD better than 10 but so far the roll out does not appear to be. Cannot stand to have flashing Adds while trying to work on Email. Long time AOL Customer

Get rid of Flashing adds bad enough on TV Long time AOL Customer not happy with Gold. Want my Female welcome voice back. Hope you can get back to all the features of 10 which we seem to have lost.??????

I was able to change the aol sounds in all but gold version, There is no longer an aol listing in system sounds. Can you fix that?

Many of us would like sounds back in AOL GOLD Chat rooms,...we used to play our music and it was relaxing to hear music plus post to our friends why did you remove this function.

Please have the audio/voice option again on AOL Gold. I would love to change the voice.
