Stop charging for membership until your desktop and any services you claim to provide.
You are not addressing (with any substance) any feedback, complaints or issues that are addressed in this part of the AOL DESKTOP gold. I have contacted your representatives who have remote logged on and I have expressed the issues that I have. One of the representatives also went to the feedback section and entered the issues that she obviously could not fix. Since you have changed to your New and Improved AOL Desktop Gold, you have had us reload it, update it and then reload it again. Through all of this, the Desktop continues to show a blank page for at least a minute which then generates from the anti-virus/security program "unable to load this page, or the page took too long to load, try again or restart your computer, etc. I should not have to go through this every time I want to work with my email. Your features on writing email are minimal to none. You cannot highlight, you cannot select all and copy, I do not see a feature to add symbols which is necessary. Sending pictures is very limited. Your explanations on how to use the icons and go into, establish and or customize it is again nil to none. I have sent feedback before with no response on many of these issues. Your representatives are basically trained and for customers who pay for your services, without a doubt should be handled by well trained and informed representatives. Not those that do not know what to do and then revert to telling the customer that "well I'm sorry madame" but that is all we can do. I am a creature of habit so I have stayed with AOL but just like the rest of service provider agencies you have lowered your standards and have increased your charges. Your AOL Desktop needs to be streamlined, stop requiring customers to constantly be changing their password, provide the service you are receiving monies for, stop having representatives who don't know what they are doing call us back or answering the phone as if they could. The last thing I will mention is your stupid continuing ads and the size of the windows that interfere with the information which requires you to moving the page back and forth to read. you have so many advertisements and icons that are so not needed they are taking the space which makes using this sub-standard website impossible. You force me to use webmail. From the first bar at the top there are six bars before we get to the action we are looking for. Your mandatory icons are so not needed why do you think you are the experts on what icons your customers need? Each paying member should be allowed to put what they want there and how big and which icon to use for the subject. You people are failing here. Even though I have been with AOL for over 25 years I am getting ready to stop this service because it just isn't worth it any longer.

I agree Version 98.2 was perfect BRING IT BACK before you charge us for "gold" which still is a mess.
Well said. I have many of the same problems - especially bringing up blank white or black pages. I'm tired of starting new comments because they are not addressed. Stop telling us to clear our browser or to call an AOL tech. The problem is not on our side - IT'S ON YOUR SIDE!
