When are all these corrections going to be made?
No offense intended, but my patience with aol gold has worn pretty thin. I saw where an aol person mentioned in their answer to a complaint that it is updated every two weeks. I am still having issues from when aol gold went live that are not fixed!?! The least aol can do is to allow us to use 9.6 until gold functions without a hitch.
Thank you for your feedback about the popup ads. We’re always interested in opportunities to improve our products and services, so we appreciate when our users take the time to share with us. We will make sure that this gets to the appropriate team for review.
Please follow the steps to clear the footprints:
1. Launch AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Sign in with your username and password.
3. In the top menu bar, click the Settings icon Image of the Settings icon.
4. Click Browser on the left menu.
5. Click the Security tab at the top of the window.
6. Select the data you’d like to clear.
7. Click Clear Footprints.
Please note that after clearing the browser footprints, you will have to re-enter your zip-code on the Welcome Screen.
Regarding the block mail feature, we will pass it along to our Product Engineers and they will look into this to see if they can have it fixed in a future update or release of the software.
To disable the Search Window go to Edit > Startup Settings > Startup Tab > uncheck the Search Window box.
The changes are saved automatically.
For the DNS error message and “we’re having trouble with email” message, please call our AOL Gold team at 1-888-265-3733.
The ability to assign an icon to the carousel will be available in a future update.

I agree with all of these comments. AOL GOLD, in my opinion, is absolute JUNK. I am beyond disappointed and I have written my displeasure numerous times with no reply or FIX. The system
is slower than a turtle crossing a road, 80% of the time I cannot retrieve my emails, system will freeze regularly. I've got the AOL System Mechanic as well as some other "fixes". I gave up my custom login/out messages with the promise that AOL GOLD would be so much better that I wouldn't miss my custom messages but I can say that AOL GOLD absolutely SUCKS HORRIBLY. Since I/we can't seem to get a reply/fix, I'll be reporting this to FCC and whomever else I can...SORRY POC. -

AOL Gold can't even load it's own pages....I can sit here for 2-3 minutes and then a page will finally load. God forbid someone wants to have 2 tabs open at the same time. Timing is awfully slow waiting for this browser to complete any tasks. I have 3 other browsers that seem to function okay, and 2 of them are AOL also.

This browser can't hold open 2 tabs at one time....and it always crashes like it is too much info for it to complete. Can't tell you how many times I've had to reboot in an attempt to get this browser to work properly. No wonder there have been 250 revisions since I signed up for this "Gold" in January.
God forbid anyone should attempt to use this for a professional application....their computer would probably start smoking.... -

I cant believe that after all this time of us telling you what is wrong that you want more specifics? For starters, you promised that we would be able to sign in by seeing all of our user names with the information of which user names have new mail! That is a basic need for using this. Those of us who use more than one user name have to keep signing on and off to check on mail! WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THIS? And I could go on forever on all the other things that have been submitted and NOTHING IS BEING CHANGED. Extremely disappointing and upsetting. Doesn't seem like AOL cares much.

Be more specific about the issues??? Are you kidding? Just read the feedback on these pages.

And when we do comment on the issues we are having. nothing is done about it! We get an email saying our post has been merged with others having the same issues....why bother to be more specific if all is does is merge with others?

For starters..... make the F5 key work. When searching on AOL have visited links change color so you know which URL's you visited, Where are the long ago promised toolbar icons and email smilies? Get rid of the INBOX. When deleting batches of mail make the Select All button work.Fix whatever it is that cause scroll bars on the interface every few minutes even though nothing is touching the sides of the screen. If you must have ads in the write mail mailbox at lest put them at the bottom like they used to be.

1) Deleting the footprints in the browser settings still isn't working. 2) Return to us the feature where we can right click on the spam sender's email address and select block mail. 3) Fix the aol search feature so it doesn't pop up to interrupt my searches on google.com. 4) Fix whatever is wrong with the email that causes a box to show up saying 'we're having trouble with email,' so that once the box is closed, it stops reopening itself repeatedly up to a dozen times. 5) Sometimes when I click on an aol link, I get the 'dns error' message. 6) I use every control I know of to block those popup ads or to opt-out but for the last two days, my welcome screen has had a HUGE ad about wayfair or something that shows directly under the slideshow - the ad is actually about 3 to 4 inches long! 7) On the welcome screen, the 'location' feature for weather and news does not
remember my information. 8) When I add a site to my carousel, restore the ability to assign it an icon.
