I know I'm repeating myself. In Germany, for many desktop-gold is worthless. A keyboard
input (numbers, letters, or anything else) desktop-gold crashes. Since 3 months we are
waiting for Fixes to Troubleshooting. My software (Windows 7 Professional)Excuse me.
Germany is the biggest economic power in Europe. Here you can earn the most money.
For almost 16 months there is AOL Beta Desktop Gold. Nothing works well. Why ?
Deliver a good Dektop Gold and make good money. Please tell that Mr. Armstrong.
Even if a criticism is not correct ! AOL members pay for Desktop Gold. And indirectly they
pay your salary. I think you should understand the anger of the members. You make a big
mistake. You work against the people, not for the people. In the end they will lose a lot of
money (And customers). This is as safe as the amen in the church. Errors are corrected
but new ones arise. Other Errors have not been corrected yet and you come up with new
ideas.Explain to us why so much is not works at Desktop Gold. There must be a reason
for this. Openness and honesty are a good start. As it is now, it can not continue. I have
been an AOL member for almost 20 years. Once upon a time, we were proud to be AOL
members. And now ? AOL 9.8...? Will AOL fail in Germany ?
Also think about the people with their small business who urgently need working software.
(bakers, hairdressers, car repair shops ......) Do you want to make AOL really modern and
interesting for old and young ? Let yourself be helped by young, intelligent, innovative and
involved people. You can find them at every university in the USA. I do not want to offend
anyone here. But the fact that after such a long time there is still no real fully functioning
Desktop Gold is very strange. Why am I writing this here? In Germany there is no beta testing.
The feedback area is as good as dead. Customer service does not exist. Nothing.
You can complain here but it looks like nobody is listening to you.
Everything looks like AOL would soon collapse with Desktop Gold.Should this happen once.Bye bye, it was a nice time with you all at AOL. A great pity

I have been patient, but I cannot tolerate the frustration AOL Gold has caused. Slick on being given the choice to upgrade to Gold, or lose your current AOL, of course which was free. All of the constant advertising and popups I am sure paid well. But expecting better service, paid for the upgrade. Like so many others, I am on the edge of dropping AOL after 20+ years. Hire the 11 year old that recently hacked the mirror program for the Florida state election system (in ten minutes) Maybe he could get your program working right. My main issues are my favorites list automatically lists the sites alphabetically. Old AOL let me click and drag a specific favorite to anywhere on the
list. Every attempt fails when I try this now. I have checked HELP files and even sent an inquiry to AOL via email, all to no avail. Go to the "Contact Us", and among the choices are EMAIL. Only they appear to have to eliminated this function. Probably getting inundated.......Whenever I go to a
site, the window resizes to a smaller window, even though I have tried dozens of times to use the
"Window" resize function. Happens even going to other pages at the same site. Never had this problem before. And speaking of that, I wonder if anyone else experiences the problems upon first opening the program. ALWAYS have to use the button to go to full screen, and most of the time, the sign on screen SLOWLY opens with the right side chopped off requiring me to close out the screen and reopen it from the SIGN ON tab. I agree, bring back the old version, even if you want
to charge the same as GOLD. On the verge of dropping this service. If it wasn't for changing my
email address to so many people, I would have cancelled long ago. I use another (FREE FLAWLESS) browser most of the time anyway. -

Gold is terrible. After 23 years with AOL, you seem to be going backwards. Fix this or go back to Ver. 9+.

After 20 years of AOL, I am so disgusted by the tech issues and the inability of your system even routing me to tech support and not billing, not recognizing my address, agents hanging up on me without ever talking to me or if they don't know how to handle the call and much more. I have defended my use of AOL for years, but there is no defence. You suck.

AOL Gold is just terrible, as it has ever since it has been forced upon us. It sucks up so much memory that I have to close out of it and reload it repeatably during the day. That's in addition to all of the other problems it has. It's unbelievable that AOL would put out such a terrible product and force us to use it. It's by far the worst AOL platform ever. Really pathetic!

I couldn't agree more.... AOL Gold is a hot mess. I contacted AOL when the change was first made, and actually got sympathy from the tech....I can't remember exactly how long ago that was, but certainly it has just been downhill from there. A simple thing like changing my FONT in settings can't be accomplished. I agree with Anonymous..... "Trouble with GOLD ever since I downloaded it and now I pay for it." What a racket!! sgck@aol.com

Everything of mine disappeared. Cant view any mail, my favorites are all gone and its not just my computer, We have several computers in our house and every one of them has the same issue. I've had aol since 1995, it's time to bury this dead horse. I hate to change everything in my life related to this, but It's looking like I have no choice. Are you guys using Intel chips in your servers, maybe try AMD. You're about to lose my whole family. This is more like mud as another poster said, it certainly isn't gold.
