Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.
Hey,
Wanted to let you all know that you now have the ability to block mail from unwanted senders. Please click the link here to learn more: https://help.aol.com/articles/keep-your-inbox-clean-by-blocking-unwanted-mail-in-aol-desktop-gold

I am STILL having problems with Spam Control. I enter the email address that I want to stop sending me spam so it is blocked. I still get the annoying emails, a LOT of them from the same address, even after I've indicated that I want them blocked...which USED to happen with AOL. I want that control back; it would basically mean adding a "save" button on the page after you've added an address you want blocked. Why is AOL stonewalling my repeated requests? Not appreciating that.

First a lot of the unwanted email either doesn't have an unsubscribe option or if it does, it does not work. Also they randomly change the sending address, so attempting to block that address does little good. AOL should not allow unsolicited email through the system that does not have a functioning unsubscribe. I typically get several hundred such emails a day. I only allow those in my inbox that are in my address list, but they go to spam. I have given up cleaning up the spam file which now has several thousand emails. Let AOL deal with it.

SPAM --- 55 more already today
YES -- AOL is putting them in SPAM, can delete all with one click and they go to delete file!!
However, then have to delete them one click at a time -
NEED A DELETE ALL TAB on permanently delete email folder!!
BETTER _ AOL BLOCK THE DOMAIN SITES SENDING ALL THESE SPAM EMAILS!!!! THEY KEEP INCREASING IN NUMBER DAILY!!! -
FRANK PAYNE commented
Adding to comment just posted -- ON YOUR SPAM EMAIL PAGE --
You have delete -- you need to put a tab and activate it that says PERMANENTLY DELETE
Currently we have to delete or we can delete all, but to Permanently delete the we have to go to the new email or another page and delete each spam email page by page!! -

AOL -- you need to block these names and as many suggest - BLOCK THE DOMAINS -- you know who they are -- that are the continued senders for the email spam that YOUR USERS are having to deal with!! Had almost 100 spam emails DAILY in the past 4 1/2 days!!
AOL -- you can and should protect your users!!
You know how to as mentioned already - you need to do this NOW
BLOCK THE DOMAINS CREATING THIS SPAM AND BLOCK TH INDIVIDUAL WEB SITES!!! -

Years ago you could completely block your email but let only the ones you choose to send you email. But AOL in their complete stupidity and updates eliminated you to be able to do this anymore. After many emails about this they completely ignore to fix it, why?

I get so annoyed and so impatient with constantly getting spam
And they gotten clever so what they do is they use the same username with different domains and this is what you must come back you must stay ahead of thisEarthling came up with a good idea that if you're sending an person an email two Earthling you get a message saying that you must enter the three digit code in order for your mail to go through which I thought was a very good idea
Or you can have it to where that only you can block domain which you can also block usernames using multiple different domains for me that would make more sense for example
a these are samples that I constantly get that's filling up my mailbox and it's so annoying notice they're all the same username

And there's a way to do it I don't want no excuses I don't want no BS I just want this thing done I am a paid customer using your services for this freaking softer and this is what I get is a bunch of spam clogging up my emails
The original version of the AOL software used to stop all this stuff it did not come through
And these are various emails from various different organizations sometime they use the same username sometimes they use the same domain name
So I wasn't born yesterday I've been on the computer for many many years many years the '80s the late seventies
I structure and build Servers
So the little egg heads should put their heads together and come up with a plan to stop all those nonsense now I like the ideal from earthlink where the person has to enter a three digit code for the mail to go through
Once they email the individual they get a mail back entering a three-di there's no way to stop it that's totally unacceptable and totally an excuse and very dismissive 🙄

AOL -- you need to do something - been with you for years and never spam problem. Do not know what changed or where my name got onto spammers lists, but getting 50-60 a day. Mostly health related - lose weight etc
This needs to stop as spam becoming constant problem. Did send unsubscribe to 2 or 3 sites I felt were real and they stopped, but about 10-15 took their place and continue.
Please help!! -

AOL says to block unwanted email addresses, right click on the address, click on "add sender to block list" on drop down, then click "OK" on the pop up that lists the subject email address and says it has been added to the blocked list. The problem with that is that it does not block the addresses!!! I began blocking this address: renter-66852info@ Since July 2021, as I was getting several messages per day. In the past 8 days I have received 89 messages from that address. Why are they not on the BLOCKED list?
