Keep the AOL browser updated so I can use YouTube here.
You Tube has been giving me this alert lately:

AOL Browser is not acceptable at certain websites. I keep no AOL browser updated, but certain sites do not recognize he AOL browser. For example, at www.Chase.com, it tells me that my AOL browser will not work.
This site is available for Chrome 95, Firefox 98, Safari 15 and Edge 95. It will not work with beta or development browsers nor 3rd party browser extensions. So not AOL browser.
This is very inconvenient since i then need to go off AOL and enter into a new browser. I am not sure what other sites are affected, but NETFLIX is also a problem
Can you fix this problem -

Recently I can't log into my bank account on AOL. This was their reply:
"...online banking platform is not compatible with the AOL browser and they informed me that our online banking is only compatible with a handful of browsers that can maintain the security features required to run the application. I have attached the online banking browser policy to this email for you to review. In the future you will need to use Chrome (or a few others) when logging .
into your online banking, They attached "Banno-Browser Support Policy" -

-- Allow tech people who serve via chat to allow enough time for a response. It's apparent that they are either (1)) pressured to allow only a few seconds for the customer to respond, to ask a further question or ask for clarity... or (2) they are poorly trained to be more professional and not rude. I was "hung up on" while on chat with a rep named Constantin while trying to find out how to whitelist a website while using the AOL browser.
It's getting to the point where I think I probably should ditch AOL and save $11.99 a month. I don't pay to be treated abruptly when I have a tech question. Why keep a desktop program that is cutting more and more of the benefits of having a desktop program?
Another thing, I don't like that the AOL browser isn't customizable. It doesn't have compatible extensions and plug-ins, and more and more sites are not supporting its browser.
I don't like that when I open my email, I can't open links directly to another browser. A right-click on a link in the mail does not offer a way to copy the link. I actually have to open the site in the AOL browser and then cut and paste the URL to a different browser to open the site again. Inconvenient and very ****-retentive of AOL.
The browser has changed significantly from long ago in what the user can do graphically and creatively in creating an email within a Write Mail window. I can't do half of what I was able to before, design-wise, just using the browser, when putting together an email. I have to go to another program in many cases, create a beautifully designed document and then copy it to a Write Mail window or attach it.
I've kept AOL for years, but it's getting harder and harder to access helpful tech support. AOL is trying their darndest to get people to pony up for premium tech support. I'm already paying for tech support!
Most of the so-called other perks that are offered for opt-in are of no use to me. I am very leery of giving over control of my passwords, ID, and privacy to an entity that is more and more disappointing and hard to trust. Also, the computer insurance is virtually useless. I'm disabled. If my desktop needs service, I'm in no position to ship it to who knows where. How about again offering to have service done in one's home?
With COVID making life difficult for everyone, this is still possible and important and needed. We need our computers and our computer programs and browsers and internet service to work, and when they don't... we need companies like AOL who have subscribers who sometimes need service, and for AOL support to be readily accessible, respond promptly and courteously, and provide effective solutions that will get us working again.
If you are not going to offer a version of AOL Desktop Gold that offers broad options and competent support to those of us who are paying for the program each month, what good are you to us?
Please, please, address our needs with changes in your operation or be prepared to continue losing subscribers.
