Give back old sign in screen where you can see primary and secondary names and if either has messages.
On the old sign-in screen, you could see at a glance your primary and secondary screen names and if either had any messages. Now you only see one user name and you do not see if it has messages. And when you log into it to see if you have messages, it is a huge waste of time to have to get out of primary name and log into secondary name just to see if you have any messages there. Why would you go backwards and create a sign in screen that's not user friendly and one that purposely wastes the user's time? Makes no sense at all!

The old desktop featured a drop down feature at sign-on that would show how many emails I had for each AOL screen name. The new gold does not, which means I have to sign on to each screen name to see if I have email.

Is it worth the time, inefficiency in a busy business day to have to check between email accounts to verify any incoming business communications? NO....this has to change. This is a downgrade to services. AOL as a business should be willing to maintain its level of service, if nothing else for the paying customers who are still foolish enough to play with it.

I STRONGLY AGREE with other posters. The only reason for me to keep a paid version of Desktop is the convenience of being able to see which of my 6 screen names have mail and go directly to them WHEN NECESSARY. I now have to sign in all six multiple times a day. What a pain!!! There is no reason to keep Desktop beyond the trial period if I have to do this because the direct sign-in from any browser gets me the same results without paying anything. THIS IS A HUGE STEP BACKWARDS as all prior versions of Desktop allowed this. It's unbelievable this feature was dropped. No reason for Desktop to exist now vs browser access.PLEASE RETHINK THIS AOL . . .

Need to be able to click in "Sign off" and see all my other user names and see if there are emails in each. Before, I could see if I needed to switch to the other user names to see new emails. Now I have to go to each user name and sign on and then see if any mail. THIS OLD FEATURE IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I AM PAYING TO KEEP THE AOL DESK TOP, CONVERTING TO THE GOLD. This is the one feature that is going to be worth paying for a service I have had free for so many years. Without out this feature it is then the signing on to AOL via another browser and then signing on to each user name all the time to check emails!! In GOLD, I have to do that anyway. So, why pay? This is a disgrace. Horrible lack of attention to user's needs from your old time customers which you will soon lose due to this. At least you will lose THIS customer.

The OLD AOL was much easier to manipulate and check to see if I had to sign on to get emails from one name to the other. This GOLD version is not what I expected! There is no list. What gives???? Bring it back!!!!

I have 6 email addresses in my account. In the past version, you could bring them all up at one time to see which one has incoming mail. In the gold version, you have to physically go into each email address to see if you have any incoming mail

This is exactly the one feature i first noticed was missing and IMMEDIATELY reported it. It is beyond annoying. I can deal with most of the other stupid changes but this one bugs me the most. It's a time waster!

Someone at AOL is reading these suggestions about Gold and offering answers on some. Please, Mr. or Ms. AOL Someone, don't pass over this post or just combine it with another post without answering this question: Can the old desktop sign-in page be restored? Users need see all of their primary and secondary usernames at one glance upon sign in along with which ones have emails waiting to be read. It is very user-unfriendly to have to go into each AOL user name one by one to find out. This basic member convenience needs to be restored. Please, please answer this question.

Could you add a feature, as in the previous version, where I can check to see if I have mail on my other screen names when I hit "Sign Off" without having to actually change addresses?
