The Stationery feature is now available in the AOL Desktop Gold.

To customize your email with a stationery, follow these four easy steps:

1. Sign in to AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click ‘Write’ in the upper left.
3. At the top, click the Extras menu (below the subject line) and select Stationery.
4. Browse or search through the categories on the right and choose one you’d like.

To remove your stationery background, click the Extras menu | select Remove Background.

In case you do not see the Stationery option, you will need to update the AOL Desktop Gold to the latest revision. To do that, click on the Help menu on the top, select ‘Check for Updates’, and after 10-15 minutes close and re-open the software.

    Waiting for the illustrations and animations for emails that were promised to RETURN with GOLD just like we had them for our beloved v 98.2.

    Please bring back the AOL Stationery option that was on there before so that was choices for e-mail backgrounds. Thank you

    Please re-instate stationery option to send cards for birthdays, holidays, etc. Also fix AOL Gold Desktop to stop going on and off.

    Bring back the animated mail art that was available on V 98.2. It set AOL APART FROM ALL THE REST.

    those winky little faces are SO 1980's and horribly drawn.

    Activate the system wherein we could input email stationary by clicking on insert background picture as we could in the old system. This made emails more exciting.

    PLEASE BRING BACK THE USE OF EMAIL STATIONARY.

    IT WAS EASY TO USE AND MADE COMMUNICATION VIEW BETTER.

    As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Everything was fine until you shoved AOL GOLD down our throats and took away the Mail Art. I was told in Dec. that Mail Art would be restored SOON. Here it is April and no Mail Art. I think it was just to get me off the phone. Please tell the truth

    As we all know, Gold is a piece of junk that we were forced to use. Each and every subscriber should contact AOL and tell them not to place any charges until it is up and running properly This was supposed to be just like older versions, with the ability to add fonts, change e-mail backgrounds, use celebrity "Welcome" voices, etc, etc, etc. and I was told it would be working by the end of November, 2017.
    Well, it ain't. :-(
