Need for Email Dictionary for Users Who Inadvertently Add Misspelled Words, Including Names!
I wrote yesterday requesting that AOL Gold users have their email dictionaries restored so that if users approve a misspelled word, they can go into their dictionaries and delete a word or name mistakenly approved so that it will not be accepted by the AOL spellcheck feature in the future. Today, I know more. If I misspell a proper noun or name and, for example, spell Dr. Yaryura, Yarura without the second "y," AOL Gold will accept the misspelled "Yarura," and I will look anywhere from rude to insulting to stupid because intelligent people in the communications field use their spellcheck feature to write right. I CAN, at present, write my email on a Word document and then transport it to an AOL email form because I can rely on Microsoft to support me in my desire to spell ALL words, including names, correctly, but this is a process that takes time and effort. I now want to be able to access an AOL Gold email dictionary, delete the name "Yarura," which I carelessly and mistakenly accepted when I checked spelling in an email yesterday, and leave only the correctly spelled "Yaryura," with two y's in the family name, and then not have to worry about misspelling his name, or indeed any other name, in the future because I have a working email dictionary as I did in the past. This may not be important to those who don't care about correct spelling and grammar, but it is critically important to me as an educator, job seeker, reporter, PR professional, and educated person. PLEASE provide an email dictionary based on the old model ASAP. I am spending a lot to have AOL Gold and am being cheated and embarrassed. I can right-click on a proper noun or name and then click on "Spellcheck" on the drop-down box, but this won't work with names with capital letters. I did receive your response to my email suggestion of yesterday and thank you for it, but I know more now, and proper nouns are the biggest problem as is the inability to delete words that should not be approved by the AOL Gold spellcheck feature even though they were carelessly accepted by the user previously. To paraphrase, "'Tis human to err and divine to employ and pay for a service that will help users to correct their all-too-human mistakes." Thank you.

Allow misspelled word(the one in red) to be changed inside the box. It was possible in earlier versions of spell check

I appreciate this idea. But it won't even come close to addressing my problem. Because AOL's current "spell checker" doesn't recognize common words (like my username.) And the fact I can't disable it when it does something really stupid like my own name (a common name) as misspelled, is even more insulting.

Agree with Evelyn, I get so sick of having a proper name come up every time I use them. It takes more time to spell check then it does to write it without a custom dictionary.

I support the request of the user who noted that we need to be able to get to the dictionary in order to be able to delete incorrectly spelled words in it. In previous AOL versions, we were able to do this. ALSO, in the spellchecker, it would be useful to be able to make changes directly in the spellchecker box on highlighted mis-spelled words.

Your spell checker is a moron. It can't even detect my user name. I shouldn't see red lines in emails for things I've spelled correctly.
