Restore the old spam settings. Now we only have one setting.
First you took away stationery and vast choice of fonts, emojis, etc. Then you changed how mail is set up (from new, old, sent, spam, deleted mail to current style) and the Spam settings from numerous choices to only one (blocked). it seems the longer we continue to PAY for AOL Gold, the less we are getting for our money. I see by the Feedback that I'm far from alone in feeling AOL Gold does not seem "golden" to your PAYING customers.
Hey,
Wanted to let you all know that you now have the ability to block mail from unwanted senders. Please click the link here to learn more: https://help.aol.com/articles/keep-your-inbox-clean-by-blocking-unwanted-mail-in-aol-desktop-gold

my spam box get flooded with more than 100 a day spam & scam mails & growing as AOL only want to sell me additional spam blocker for fees when i already pay for AOL gold that keeps increasing fees but not services as i am with AOL from the beginning 1990 as a paid member as services & protections decreased as i had better use & controls with the original AOL blue even with dialup service it was more user friendly to self-help

Criminals picked up my AOL e-mail address from the Dark Web, according to Experian. Since then—for the past eight months or longer—I have been overwhelmed with hundreds of pornographic spam messages every week from criminals around the world. Marking all of these as "spam" on AOL and sending them to the U. S. Government at US-CERT (phishing-report@us-cert.gov) has had no effect whatsoever. They just keep arriving unabated and in increasing numbers.
These pornographic e-mails disrupt my business and personal life to such an extent that getting rid of them now occupies a major part of each and every day.
Surely with the resources available to AOL corporate, and working with Federal law enforcement, you can put a stop to this outrageous criminal activity.
I have written to and called AOL about this serious issue numerous times in the recent past. But so far, you have done absolutely nothing about it.
Please become proactive and address this major problem once and for all, ensuring that I and all paying AOL subscribers receive no more of these types of e-mails.

The function to block senders works fine, trust me. You are likely getting messages from spoofed addresses. Spammers do this entirely to circumvent ISP blocked sender lists ;)

step up to the plat an upgrade a block sender program you make enough money off us.

SPAM: UnknownSender@UnknownDomain ---- Unable to block these e-mails. (Spammers do not reveal a sender or a domain in the e-mail heading) Spammers have learned this technique to get around your Spam controls....There is no e-mail address that I can identify or specify as an address to be blocked.

Why does AOL constantly delete Addresses listed into the Spam Block Folder? It has capacity for 1,000 units. It deletes after 2-4-5. Thus I am constantly inundated with Spam, and mostly **** **** at that. Is this what I am paying for???

For several weeks, I was getting almost no SPAM. I figured AOL has fixed this issue. Now it has come back along with many emails from unknown addresses. Why cant AOL block any unknown address emails!

Trying add email address to blocking emails and getting a "not valid email address" notice It darn sure is a valid email address if I"m getting emails from that address...When you do add an email address there is no SAVE to click on so the email address is not added to the lists of Blocked Email..

I was very pleased a few days ago when my spam folder volume decreased from over 300/day to about 10/day. However, that was just a tease by AOL. Since then, my spam email has started to increase exponentially every day since and now approaching 100s a day or more. With free gmail or yahoo accounts i also occasionally use, i might one or two spam emails a week! Isn't there something AOL can do better to just send obvious spam emails up into the cloud instead of having my filter them myself? Some important emails I receive that show up in my inbox on occasion show up in spam, requiring me to filter through all the spam every day! AOL could do better if they tried, even just a little!
