Please return to the old date format of month/day/year. Thanks.
The option to change the Date format in your mailbox is now available.
Here are the steps to change the Date format:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the toolbar.
3. Go to the ‘Mail’ category on the left.
4. Next to ‘Date Style’ select one of the options below.
Date Only (Month/Day/Year)
Show time for mail received today
5. Changes are saved automatically, so you can close the Settings window.
In case you do not see the ‘Date Style’ option, you will need to update the AOL Desktop Gold to the latest revision. To do that, click on the Help menu on the top, select ‘Check for Updates’, and after 10-15 minutes close and re-open the software.

Why did you guys change the mail showing the time instead of the date. I don't care about the time. I search emails by the date and I don't care for this new update. Very confusing to find what I am looking for in my inbox.

Please put again the old format on the date/time. It's changed and to see emails based on their hours.

This date format change is an inconvenience. I understand that in 2020, the 2019 emails will convert back to the old mm/dd/yyyy format. Why in the world not just leave it that way. A person should at least have the option to choose the format they want not have you decide!!!!

On your desktop gold the format has changed in the email box. Now it's :
date, email address and subject. It no longer shows who email is from!! The was a poor decision to make. I need to know who email is from before I open it. When going through chrome it displays: from, subject and date. Much better. There is no need to see an email address instead of WHO it's from. I am thinking of dropping gold and using Chrome. I love AOL for many years, but I will change browser. -

I been with AOL over 18 years AOL DESK TOP GOLD is the worst. Put the month/day/year back and put Quick Restore back so every time you have issue do not have to put new copy of AOL.

You need to go back to the MM/DD/YYYY format for date received for email showing in New, Old, Sent, Drafts, Recently Deleted, and Spam mail boxes. The newly implement time of day for new, current day, and month spelled out/ day sequence number/ day abbreviation is just ridiculous. What were you thinking thing?
I see that this nasty change has also flowed into the ‘Saved on AOL’ files.
We customers can figure out the time of day an email came in by opening it ourselves. -

Please, do return to the old date format of month/day/year. An incoming email without proper dating is worthless for record keeping or proof of receipt, If I may say, it was a crazy idea to come up with e.g. "yesterday" or Apr 05 Fri, or 11:24 AM. I have been a full paying AOL member for over 20 years and I expect better from AOL on such basic things as dating an email. I would really appreciate your returning to the old format. Thanks. PS

William Muir - You got caught by the for-pay company - NOT AOL, those are scammers that pretend to be AOL.

i AM ABOUT READY TO FORGET AOL. STUPID TIME INSTEAD OF DATE.

Put the date of the e-mails back. I don't read my e-mails every day so "yesterday" means nothing to me and I will see the time when I open the e-mial. PUT THE DATES BACK. SOMEBODY IS BEING STUPID~!

I called your 1 800 number for help. The problem I wanted to report was one of my recipients of e-mail reported that the same mail came some 30 times. First, I could not understand who I was talking to due to the THICK accent. Second, he SOLD me some trial software for file recovery. A 30 day trial period and $3.99 per month after that. Third, he transferred me to "Tech Support" and I have been on hold now for over an hour. WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE UP TO? HAS AOL BECOME ONE BIG SCAM???

What happened to the date field? It now shows the time??

Bring back the normal date in the inbox, not the time, which appears on each email

Your new update of AOL Gold changed the incoming email from the date to the time. This is absolutely no help. Have no idea what date it came in and that is the most important help to us not the time. Would at least like the option of using the format that would help us the most.

would you please show the actual calendar date in the first column of my email. I hate seeing "yesterday" or "today"
