Please return to the old date format of month/day/year. Thanks.
The option to change the Date format in your mailbox is now available.
Here are the steps to change the Date format:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
2. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the toolbar.
3. Go to the ‘Mail’ category on the left.
4. Next to ‘Date Style’ select one of the options below.
Date Only (Month/Day/Year)
Show time for mail received today
5. Changes are saved automatically, so you can close the Settings window.
In case you do not see the ‘Date Style’ option, you will need to update the AOL Desktop Gold to the latest revision. To do that, click on the Help menu on the top, select ‘Check for Updates’, and after 10-15 minutes close and re-open the software.

Changing the format of the email to hourly was not a good choice. I don't care what time I receive and email but I DO CARE WHEN. Please, please, please change the format back to the month/day/year.
Thanks for your attention -

Now you have taken the date sent off our new emails and replaced it with the time. Also you have add the word Yesterday to all the rest of the mail. I for one need the date. I do not care what time it was sent. and you have used the word Yesterday for all past emails.

PLEASE CHANGE BACK TO DATE FORMAT. THIS IS A HORRIBLE CHANGE. THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP TRACK FOR RECORDS i HAVE SAVED, OR FIND RECORDS I HAVE SAVED.
Why would you make such a change. If you don't correct that, I will have to leave AOL & find something that will allow me to control my records. -

One reason that date is more important than time is the Court System.
You have taken emails completely out of the evidence category with the absence of the date. The courts will not recognize the TIME, but would recognize the DATE.WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING?

Email Date Changed!
In what tech world does an email provider that charges for the service and I have been a user for over 20 years, change the date format of emails sent in current year (2019) and drop the date. From the format of
MM/DD/YEAR to i.e. Apr 02 Tues makes no sense. I was on the "chat" help chat line waiting for 30 minutes and then received no help. Then called tech support - the extension in tech support is not 4 but 5 as I learned the hard way (despite AOL have ext 4). The woman who tried to help me, spoke badly broken English and knew no answers other than an update was made and that is how it will be. AOL had done nothing but deteriorate since it changed to AOL Gold. It will be time to move on once I have time.
To keep your customers - keep the correct computer tech dates emails were sent and received MM/DD/YEAR - per USA standard.
Thank you. -

Please go back to old format. No practical reason for the new way. Need the dates on emails.

The date of an email is used in many situations. The time of the email is not relevant to anything.
Why change this? It needs to be corrected. Let the customers have the choice, not some programmer! -

Yes, go back to the previous date time an email came in.
I sat here two days ago trying to understand the new format's usefulness and could not.
Every time there is an update there seems to be something wrong and this latest is just plain stupid.

Restore the old format. Month/Day/Year. What is the point of displaying just the word yesterday or time on a clock without Month/Day/Year?
-
Philip Larsen commented
Put the date back on when I receive e-mails and stop saying "yesterday" for previous e-mails. Leave the date on! Not the time.
This "new" way STINKS"!! -
