    The Favorites quick view option is now available. To open the Favorites quick view, right-click on the ‘Favorites’ button. Once you select a favorite place from the list, the quick view window, will disappear.

  4. In coming emails

    Received emails are not opening. Does anything go right with this Gold version? Get someone who can program and bring us back to AOL 10.

    Try refreshing the mailbox. Click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen and select Refresh Mailbox from the drop-down menu.

    In order to sort Old mail alphabetically, click on the Subject or E-mail Address columns above the first email in the list.

  6. Aol desktop gold address book

    I'm appalled. Spent many years customizing my address book and your gurus deleted my upgrades/changes that were working fine for the last twenty years in a matter of seconds. Maybe some one can explain now how to simplify the process when writing an email to BCC recipients without having to do it manually.

    In order to blind carbon copy (Bcc) an email or Address Book group, follow these steps:

    1. Launch Desktop Gold.
    2. Sign on with your username and password.
    3. Click the ‘Write’ icon, at the top of the window.
    4. Click in the Bcc button (next to the Send Now button) and start typing an email address and select it from the drop-down or click the Address Book icon.
    5. From the Address Book, select a contact(s) and click Bcc at the bottom (to highlight multiple contacts hold down CTRL and click on each contact).
    6. To Bcc an entire group, select it from the left hand side of the Address Book, and from the ‘Group Options’ button below, select ‘Blind Copy’.
    7. Close the Address Book.

  7. AOL Gold Install Disc

    I need an AOL Gold Install Disc to install AOL on my new Dell laptop!! I cannot download from the net because the AOL Techs say my network is infected and now secure!!!! Well, I have been using AOL on this netwrok for over eight years now!!! No problems!!! I have Shentel Cable DSL that all we can get here!!!! Send the disc to: David *, * ** *, *, VA ** ....... Otherwise, I will have to leave AOL for good!!

    Unfortunately we do not have a CD for the AOL Desktop Gold. Please follow the steps below to download a copy of software:

    1. Sign in to mybenefits.aol.com
    2. Under ‘All Products’ scroll to ‘AOL Desktop Gold’.
    3. Click Download Now.
    4. Follow the installation steps listed below.

  8. mail problems

    All too often when I check my deleted mail, my sent mail is listed instead. Or old mail. I have almost permanently deleted sent mail and not the deleted mail because of this error. Please display the correct mail listings. Thank you.

  9. Tech support

    Three days ago I posted a "feedback" which was removed by the moderator with a note to contact "tech support" - I called and went through all the hoops - name, email address, code to cell phone - what is the problem. THEN she transfers me to "tech support" who was she? Tech support then wants all the same hoops - why? Girl one said she would transfer the data - NOT ! So started the frustration - Girl two finally admitted that my original concern doesn't work and maybe - some day it would be addressed by software designers.…

  11. If I accidentally type an address incorrectly it gets picked up and sits there waiting to be used. And I have, as it is mostly highlighted.

    Don't register every address that is being typed, I'd rather make my own decision if I wish to add it or not. Less Mailer Deamons for sure (sp?)

    Click on Edit → Mail Settings > tap on Advanced tab > uncheck the option " Auto-add contacts to my Address Book when I send them mail" Changes are saved automatically.

  13. How many PFC organize folders can be imported to AOL Gold?

    I have appx 50 PFC organize folders that I backed up to flash drives from several older versions of AOL dating back to 2002.

    Call they all be imported to AOL Gold, from flash drives, in date order, and accessible?

    Or would all of the PFC organize folders be merged together in AOL Gold?
    Or is only a single PFC organize folder permitted to be stored in the AOL Gold?

    If true that only 1 PFC organize folder is permitted to be imported, what would occur if a PFC organize folder from 2018 was imported to AOL Gold, then a…

    There is no limit on how many PFC files you can import, but AOL Desktop Gold can only display 252 folders in the ‘Saved on My PC’ section. The AOL Desktop Gold can detect duplicate emails or folders, so you should not see any duplicate emails, after importing several files.

    All the PFC files you import in AOL Desktop Gold will be stored under one data file.

    To disable the Search Window go to Edit > Startup Settings > Main Tab > uncheck the Search Window box.

    The changes are saved automatically.

  15. Stop The Comment Censoring or Do It Correctly

    Comment censoring on this site has become random and arbitrary.It doesn't matter what your rules or guidelines are because they censors are ignoring them.Posts are removed that have no language or any other violations within them.Specific members are targeted sometimes across the platform.I just today had several posts removed that in no possible way could have violated any rules.This activity followed me through at least three articles.

  16. Time stamp on printed emails is incorrect. Indicates Central Standard Time vice Central Daylight Time.

    The date stamp that is placed on email shows central standard time vice central daylight time. Central standard time doesn't start until Sunday November 4th @ 2:00 AM. It is now 9/27/2018. ??????????????

    Please make sure the email addresses are complete, including @DomainExample.com . In case the domain name is not included in the email address, the username will be treated as an AOL account and @aol.com will automatically be added at the end.
    If you are using the auto-complete feature to add the contacts in the recipient box, check your address book, and make sure this contact has the correct full Yahoo email address.

  18. 5/2/18: Your weather right now shows 15 degrees in New York, NY but it is 61 degrees.

    Even the AOL weather is broken. Nothing works here anymore! I already cleared my browser so don't tell me to do that.

    Please make sure the temperature is set to be displayed in Fahrenheit. After loading the aol.com/weather page click on the Fahrenheit symbol on the top right corner of the page.

    Stop the spam . I have controls and my master account is loaded with spam from obvious spammers emails like lkx99 etc

    We recommend setting up a content filter in order to block mail containing specific words and phrases. To do this in AOL Desktop Gold,

    1. Click “Mail” on the top left.
    2. Select “Block Unwanted Mail” from the drop-down menu.
    3. Check the “Block mail containing specific words and phrases” option.
    4. Add postmaster-relay the in the box below.
    5. Click Save at the bottom.

    If you want to permanently block these emails, you will need to set the Blocked Mail option to “Permanently delete blocked mail”, after following the steps above (and click Save again after this). Please note that by permanently deleting the blocked mail, the emails blocked by your Sender Filter and Content Filter will be returned to the senders and cannot be retrieved from the Spam folder.

  20. BRING BACK PICTURING EDITING FUNCTIONS

    In order to use the crop image option, please follow these steps after embedding an image in the Write mail window:

    1. Click on the embedded image from the Write mail window.
    2. Select the Edit Image button below the picture.
    3. Click on the Crop button on the top left corner of the image.
