    Lets have a little courtesy when on chat, yes you may be busy Arthur S but I waited to talk to you and did not get the complete information and when I asked to wait you cut me off Extremely rude an unprofessional for a paying customer. I think you should wait until the customer is satisfied with the help you have suggested and to make sure the customer is satisfied
    It might be a good idea to hire a few more people to help in the chat sessions instead of being so rude and unhelpful to your customers

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
    3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

  3. I have over 6000 emails. I keep getting more as I don't have time to read them all. Delete them all or?

    To delete multiple emails:

    1. In your Mailbox window, press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard, and then select the emails that you wish to delete.

    2. Click Delete.

    To delete multiple consecutive emails:

    1. In your Mailbox window click the first email that you wish to delete.

    2. Now, hold the Shift key down, and click the last email in the list. This will select all the emails between the first email and the last email that you have selected.

    3. Click Delete.

  4. Trouble Deleting Emails

    Lately, when I click on an advertising email in order to delete it, the email tends to open up. Is this intentional on aol's part in order to increase clicks? I find it annoying and a waste of my time.

  9. Fix the sign-on message bug

    I keep getting a sign-on message looking for an alternate email and a phone number to prevent lockouts. I don't have any alternate email accounts. I only have my AOL account. I don't have a smart phone or any phone that will receive text messages. I only have my hard-wired house phone. There's no way to "verify" my house phone with a text message. There's no way to just say "No" or opt out from this annoying message that sometimes prevents me from signing on to a service that I pay for. Please make it stop!

    We apologize for the inconvenience, but AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. It’s extremely important to have updated information should you ever need to change your account settings, reset your password or contact AOL customer support.

  10. Master Screen Name Control

    What happened to the control for secondary screen names by the Master Screen name? Taking this control away from the account holder who pays for this service is a serious breach of parental oversight and has implications beyond that. This is another ridiculous change that gives every appearance of irresponsible and thoughtless conduct by AOL.

    In the past, AOL offered the ability to create secondary usernames linked to this Master username, however, as of November 30, 2017, the ability to add or manage additional usernames has been removed.

  11. Show me the 'hidden URL'

    In all other browsers, when I move my cursor over a 'marked' URL
    (URL hidden under text), the browser shows me the URL that is there.
    BUT - AOL GOLD does not.. I'm sure that the old version did.

  13. 2414 Aol Gold lock up "not responding"

    You keep closing BUT NOT FIXING this BUG ..
    Then tell us to call the hired garbage pickers to fix it? Give us YOUR phone number where a developer answers and explains WHY they can't fix this issue

  14. How about showing a little love for your fee paying customers? 30 minutes on hold! All mail going into spam. No way to stop it and no AOL

    All mail goes into spam folder. Talked to your folks and they agreed after taking over my computer that any mail sent to me going to spam. They told me they were in contact with the high tect people and would be back in contact with me. Stay off the phone for the call... HA 4 days ago...I am a 25 years fee paying customer of AOL.. May not make 26!!!!

  15. why do you bother with "newsfeeds".....when I click on them to open up they draw a blnk pa

    how about putting an active link to the news feed....they come up blank right now. AOL is steadily going downhill...think it's time to switch to a more reliable source

    Please try clearing the Footprints in the new AOL Desktop. Here’s how you clear the Footprints: a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu. b. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

    If you see content in an AOL Chat that violates the AOL Terms of Service, let us know right away.

    1. While in a chat, select a username from the ‘People Here’ list.
    2. Using your cursor, highlight the portion of the conversation that’s in violation.
    3. Click Notify AOL.

  18. WHY DO I PAY FOR AOL IF IT KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN

    Please following the steps:
    1. Use ‘Help > Report a Bug > Report a Bug’ to let us know about the issue.

    2. Try the workaround:
    a. Edit > Select Footprints to Clear
    b. Check the ‘Browser Cache’ box
    c. Restart ADG

  19. advertisement on the aol welcome page about supermat

    More than 2 months everyday we see advertisement about supermat on the aol homepage and it also shows it inside the news articles.
    We wish to remove it immediately.We contacted the company and AOL to submit this request.

  20. FIX THE BUGS WHEN REPORTED

    Ever since the Windows 10 update a few days ago, when I click on WRITE to write a email or at times click on my MAILBOX, my AOL Desktop flashes off and needs to be reloaded. This "bug" ONLY occurs on AOL Desktop, not when using any other browser so I assume the "bug" lies with the AOL Desktop program. I've reported The Bug for days now and still the problem hasn't been solved. Anyone else experiencing the same problem??? AOL, HOW ABOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM!!!

    Our engineers are investigating this issue as we speak. You can download the software installer again: http://updates.desktop.aol.com/updates/gm/Install_AOL_Desktop.exe. This should fix the bug.
