Before Gold I was able to see emails by putting cursor on "Read" mail icon on top left side. Now, that no longer works.
Before Gold I was able to see emails by putting cursor on "Read" mail icon on top left side. Now, that no longer works and I have to open the mail box to see what they are.
This feature is now available. If you hover the mouse over the Read icon it will show the first 10 new emails. You can check if the feature is active for you by clicking Settings > General > Toolbar > “Display Quick Views when signed on”. Also, you can set the display speed for Mail Quick View: Slow, Normal or Fast. Changes are saved automatically.

I was told at the inception of this new version 11 build that AOL would listen to their customers. This doesn't seem to be the case on several key features of AOL version 11 (GOLD???) Beta testing for AOL for decades. Have never seen service like this. No explanation???

Address book access with Quick View was part of AIM which is now gone

All of these new things in GOLD are counterproductive and annoying and not worthy of a so called "improvement" with a price tag now for membership. You all were simply not ready for this to be launched and now you leave us all out to dry with the problems and inefficiencies.

In AOL 9.8.2 the little Read Mail Box in the upper left hand corner of desk top used to cause a drop down list of any New Mail that has come in which could be seen by the number increasing and a tone when speaker is on. When the cursor was hovered on the mail box icon the pull down would display who the mail was from. This was handy to evaluate if the incoming email needed immediate action or just wait while you continued to do what you are doing. It does not have the pull down now. Please bring this function back.

Agree. 9.8.2 email allowed cursor to be hovered on Read mail box and it caused a pull down list that showed quantity of new unread emails as they came in. This allowed user to monitor newly received emails as they came in and see if they needed immediate action and was something you were waiting for or just an advert we can ignore until we were ready to open mail box.
I would also like to have the Inbox Tab deleted as it it useless and confusing. All it has is a duplicate of the Old Mail and email marked Mark Unread. Both of which can be seen in Old Tab after reading or the New Tab when marked Mark Unread. -

Agreed. With Gold they took away everything that was good about AOL.

This is a bad flaw of aol gold. It wastes time. They took away all the good stuff from AOL and gave us a garbage program. I used to be eager to sign onto aol. Now the whole experience is like a frustrating chore.
