AOL Desktop Gold takes time to sign in (Not Responding)
Please check AOL Desktop gold since I am constantly getting (Not Responding) after signing in.

You did an update on 8/8/24 and now it's worse and doesn't even say "Not Responding". That's a step in the right direction but HOW ABOUT GETTING IT TO RESPOND!!!!
It is now 8/19/24 and still no progress with this problem. It may be time to start moving my files to another email provider. It is again stating "NOT RESPONDING", and takes many minutes, not seconds to respond to anything. This is really unacceptable!! Do something!!!!Why is AOL so unresponsive? I have no problems with other programs. Even typing this took me over 10 minutes because of so much lag. I can actually click on an email and walk away to do something else, and when I get back it's still not fully loaded. Tell me why I'm paying so much money for AOL Gold? Every time there is an update with Windows this happens. You folks need to pick up your game and update Gold immediately!! Today is 7/18/24 and still this problem is in play....what does it take to have the programmers fix this problem. I actually tried to sign into a site I frequent, and again it kept buffering and I kept getting the unresponsive message for over 10 minutes. FIX IT ALREADY!!!!

I have been working with AOL tech support for days with no resolution. I was told to "report a bug." Because there is no resolution in sight. I am unable to write an email or respond to emails every time I do it crashes AOL We have exhausted all steps, uninstalled, and reinstalled. I was told "oh well we tried best we can do - lets report a bug." I am left now running my business without a solution. We don't use the web browser here we use desktop gold across multiple PCs and users. This is impacting all PCs for the 1 email account but not our others. I am paying for a service that doesn't work and I cannot use. Why doesn't AOL show a little more care in customer complaints? I asked to be transferred to customer complaints someone that could listen to the issue and I was sent to here? Unprofessional and appalling. I was told to "call back in few days." To redo all the steps and hours of my time. I don't have this time to spare. Start listening to customers.

I use AOL Desktop Gold exclusively for my business.Two issues need to be addresses. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to send an email after I hit Send Now. The other is I keep getting AOL Desktop Gold Not Responding. That freezes up everything and lasts for a minute or two. I am an AOL fan and customer since 2004 and I don't know how much more I can tolerate. At least tell me you know of the problem. I have rebooted which helps for a short while then both problems reoccur. The OS appears to be struggling. Please help. Thank you.

The same thing happened to me only to find out that my hard drive was crashing. I now have a new computer and never see that "not responding" anymore.

Difficulty signing in to aol desktop gold. Have to keep restarting and eventually it connects. Also once signed in and reviewing new mail as I am deleting emails it clears all new emails and shows only emails from day before. Has happened 3 days in a row, I then need to restart aol and start again. Very frustrating.

When AOL Desktop Gold goes in to a 'not responding' state, that's usually not the AOL application causing the hang. There is likely something "up" with your Windows install that is causing a deadlock situation. I would suggest backing up your important items and reinstalling Windows or running System Restore to go back to a known-good state. I've never seen AOL straight-up hang unless there was a larger underlying problem.

Not only that, I had to restart computer because AOL was slowing everything down. Noew it erased 2 1/2 months of recent emails

It might be that you need to clean up your computer. If mine does things like that I go into cleaning mode and that fixes it.
