  1. How to delete Data Mask now there is no master name

    How to opt out of data mask since there is no master name to control my paid subscription. I will be deleting my paid subscription as there is no longer any manual portfolios as of Jan 1. Yahoo portfolios have never worked so I am looking for some other service

    We highly recommend migrating your content over to Yahoo Portfolios, because of its robust finance platform. Yahoo Portfolios is free and easy to use! It’s a part of Yahoo Finance. If you’re not already familiar with it, Yahoo Finance offers really helpful features for its members like:

    - relevant original and partner content, and
    - a continually expanding set of financial data.
    It also provides members access to global financial market data, commodities, currencies, indices, and cryptocurrencies.

  3. In "Mail", "Spam Settings" IT WILL NOT "SAVE" SPAM ADDRESSES PLEASE FIX THIS

    In "Mail", "Spam Settings" the sender Spam email addresses I add are NOT saved, even though it says "Changes have been saved" How do you fix this?, as it is important Spam control feature. I asked about correcting this previously with no response. Please respond.

    The list of blocked senders is limited to 1000 email addresses. Please verify that you have not reached this limit.

  4. There are times that the welcome page shows as a blank page

    There are times that the welcome page shows as a blank page. I have to sign out or switch usernames before it would actually come up. Clicking on the home button pulls up the page but it is better if it comes up automatically. All other screen names work except for the master account.

    Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into this issue. To do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
    3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

  5. portfolio - I clicked the box to transfer my portfolio to Yahoo -- but when I got to Yahoo it said I did not have a portfolio. So what now

    I don't understand the process of transferring my AOL portfolio to Yahoo. I clicked the button but now Yahoo says I don't have a portfolio.

  8. I would like to reach my address book from the Tool Bar,

    I want to lookup a person's phone number in my address book. Now, I have to go to Write Mail and then click on Address Book. What used to be a one step process now takes two steps.

    2. Click on Toolbar on the top of the Settings window.
    3. Select “Add Favorites to your toolbar”
    4. Type Contacts in the search box.
    5. From the list of shortcuts below, right-click on Contacts and select “Add to Toolbar”.

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
    2. Click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left.
    3. Select ‘Mail Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
    4. Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab.
    5. Check ‘Auto add contacts to my Address Book when I send them mail’ (changes are saved automatically).

  10. SEARCH Emails in you folders DOES NOT WORK. I am not talking about the search window. It is the Search in your emails

    Looking for an old email the search window in the Email window does NOT work. You can type in the correct email address and you know there are lots of emails from the person...but NOTHING comes up NOTHING. Pls fix it

    Click on Read, select the Search Mail tab from the top of the mailbox, choose “Entire Email (Online)” from the Search drop-down, then search for the email you want.

  11. privacy oath

    Everytime I sign on the privacy oath comes up and I accept it but it still keeps coming up. I would think once should be enough

    Please try to clear the Browser Footprints and then choose Agree again when signing in.

    Here’s how:
    1. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.

    2. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

    After inserting the image in the email compose window, click on it and the picture editor toolbar should appear. The first two option are to rotate the picture, the last one is the Edit option.

  13. Chat rooms Problems

    Have AOL Tech support do there job and support it's been over 5 days and no response, my screen name is stuck in two chat rooms and will not clear. All I am told is we can't fix it or wait for a new update, they can not tell me when that would even happen. This should be a easy fix on there end and I get the round around when I try to ask for help!

  14. Why can't we delete Apps that we don't want? Ex. Tech Fortress blocks anything I try to do. Tried uninstall appeared to work still pops up.

    If you'll are so helpful up front downloading these you should be the same if I decide I don't want it any longer, but Help desk has refused.

    Sorry to hear Tech Fortress did not meet your needs. If you still have the subscription active you can cancel it by following these steps:
    1. Visit MyAccount.aol.com.
    2. Click My Services.
    3. Click Subscriptions.
    4. Click Manage next to the plan you’d like to cancel.
    5. Click Cancel.
    6. Click Cancel My Billing.
    7. Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down menu.
    8. Click Cancel My Billing.

    Try refreshing the mailbox. Click on the Mail option on the top of the desktop screen and select Refresh Mailbox from the drop-down menu.

  17. technical support for aol

    i am sick of calling AOL support (888) 446-0777 and getting MANILLA the personal there are not trained properly don't comprehend the english language and usually can-not fix the problems that arise!!!!!!!

  18. deleting SENT emails goes into trash and then they have to be deleted again. FIX THIS PLEASE.

    deleting "sent" mails sends them into the trash folder so you have to delete them a SECOND TIME. ridiculous

    After mail is deleted it will remain in your Trash folder anywhere from 7 to 30 days, before it will be permanently deleted. In this time, you can recover emails from the Trash folder, and move them to the Inbox or other mail folders.

  19. email spacing

    -when I received emails from other email recipients than aol , e-mails are compsed like in triple spacing, it's taking a lot of space and printing on a lot of paper , this happened after the glitch on AOL desktop gold a week ago , We have already tried to do a lot of troubleshooting with your technical support , and still resolve . See below for example :

    In order to make sure the page zoom is not causing the spacing issue, first, open the email you are having trouble with, then click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left, and select 100% from the ‘Zoom’ category. If this does not resolve the spacing issue it means that this is caused by the sender’s email client.

    To create an email signature, follow the steps from the article below. You can copy the signature from one account and paste it into another one. If you receive an error message stating that the signature is too large, set the default format of the text to Arial font with the size 10pt, then save the signature. After the signature is saved, you can change the font type and size to the one you desire.

    The “Check For Updates” option in the Help menu of the new AOL Desktop, will trigger the updates to download, but will not display a confirmation message when it is finished, as the updates are installed in the background, and take effect after closing and reopening the software.
