    Carbon emissions dropped 11 percent.
    Oil production surged by 77 percent between 2008 and 2016, helping to drive down fuel prices.
    During that same period, U.S. oil imports dropped by 57 percent, and in 2015 were at the lowest level since 1970.
    These statistics were compiled in September 2017, after virtually all the data was reported by various agencies, providing a reasonably complete statistical picture of the Obama years, which began in the middle of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and ended with the highest level of household income ever recorded. Trump that!
