aol doesn,t work it freezes over and over and your hep cannot fix it
New AOL desktop gold freezes everytime I use it , been happening this issue for almost 6 months now . My computer performance is good, it only freezes once ADG is open. already tried to ask assistance and did all the troubleshooting that needs to be done , but still not working properly, it freezes all the time .
Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into this issue. To do that, please follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

All of a sudded ADG is frozen, after logging in nothing works. All buttons are frozen and the program doesn't respond under any circumstances. Tried every troubleshooting steps and nothing worked. Unable to submit feedback on adg since no buttons work.

Don't know what's going on. Started yesterday. Reported it as a bug. Today nothing has changed. Since AOL is the only software I know that allows the drag and drop of links via the little red heart, I'd assume this is an AOL issue. Would be nice to know what's going on.

I have noticed that for some reason, whenever I sign onto aol desktop gold, either for the first time or after doing a computer backup or defraging my comuter, the software appears to freeze and then work.

Lately, I keep having AOL freeze no matter what I do, read articles, write emails, etc. Just locks up and have to close and re-open. I believe this is caused by the BETA version which I did not remember signing into. Signed out and hope for the best. So far okay.

I am so tired and yet have been on aol 20 years...please tell me how to fic this problem I tried calling and that didnt even work kept pushing the button and it was not the right button apparently..
we have had the chat room scrolling and showing chatters in ;out when they have not moved and still show as in the room you really do have a lot more trouble that I iever had on the old aol since I can not get my mail to open I am not sure what good the email will be.....

Agree. Something has changed. Constantly freezes. Sign in takes several tries or says "not responding". Mail doesn't load, emails take several tries to open to read. Deleting emails also lag. Some emails don't show up until next day but came in day before. Still can't add photos in email body. So many issues.

This ADG software is getting worse and worse with each update. It's been OVER A WEEK now that the Mailbox is basically unusable. Every time I click a new tab (ie Old Mail or Sent Mail) the program FREEZES. This is unacceptable for software that I'm paying a monthly fee for. When are you guys going to fix this crappy program, get rid of the many many bugs, then just LEAVE IT ALONE for a while??!! ?

SENT Emails... When I am re-sending emails the CPU freezes up EVERY TIME... NEW emails work fairly well; OLD emails are acceptable, BUT RE-Sending emails, almost NEVER Works! I have had several AOL technicians to assist me--only the LAST 2 have been very helpful, but still the problem exists! I need a supervisor to contact me, or I am going to cancel my service with AOL, after being a loyal customer for more than 2o long years! Have tried for 3 WEEKS to contact tech support about AOL freezing. Absolutely impossible. NO ONE ever answers. Stuck on "Connecting to Agent".

IT TAKES TOO MUCH TIME TO PREPARE A GOOD EMAIL WITH IMAGES, IT FREEZES A LOT, AND SAME TIMES I LOST MY WORK. SOME TIMES SEEMS LIKE THIS EMAILS ARE MADE FROM FLASH PLAYER, THAT I CAN'T DO NOTHING ON IT. IS A WASTING TIME, NOT LIKE BEFORE OLD AOL, THAT WAS "AOL DIAMOND" COMPARED TO THIS NEW AOL.

My AOL Gold continues to freeze up after AOL Tech support has tried at least four times to repair. I have to use task manager to close AOL to start over. Does AOL have a second or third level of technicians that may have the skill set to figure this out?????

Never experienced it this bad. Neighbor has same problem. pages freeze. Have to wait a few minutes before they unfreeze, I then try scrolling down the page and freezes again. Over and over it's the same thing.

could you finally improve and make your service working properly and regularly??? It is ridiculous what have been since you are under Verizon. It looks like piece of ****! Almost everyday the problems are repeating - mail is frozen, or removed, or blocked. That crazy SAGEMCOM is blinking and everything is upside down. Same with connection to Google. Suddenly dead, not working at all! And yesterday it was third time in the last 7 months that your representative told me - sorry, my system is down, I can't help you now. Are you professionalize or total amateur? If you are not able to work properly and everything is above your IQ change profession and move for another field

AOL freezes several times a day and the only way to close it is to go through Task Master. This is such a waste of good time. I'm paying for AOL to work....and it doesn't. Then this evening when I signed on I saw that all the mail I had saved as new was in the trash. It took me forever to go through everything to find the things I had marked unread. I don't have time for a service that works so poorly and so sporadically. What does one have to do to have the monthly fee adjusted? I'm experimenting with gmail and expect I'll be leaving AOL forever. Too bad AOL doesn't care!!

I submitted feedback yesterday about Gold constantly freezing, Today I was notified my issue was merged....the complaint it was merged with was made in MAY!!! IT IS RANKED 17TH. So people have been having this freezing issue for months AND AOL US NOT TAKING CARE OF IT, AND WE PAY FOR THIS??? THIS RESPONSE IS UNACCEPTABLE ON SO MANY LEVELS. SHAME ON AOL!!

How about fixing all that's wrong with Gold....including the fact that it freezes up for no apparent reason and I have to open Task Manager to close it. No other program I use does this....only AOL Gold.
