    radio button is missing when trying to edit contacts from the address book.
    please put back the radio button to correct all email address's in my adress book .

    The radio button has been removed from the Address Card view. The ‘Primary E-Mail’ field will be the main email address that will show in your Address Book.

  2. HOME PAGE

    I have mentioned several times about not being able to use the local news and information for my location on the home page andof course nothing. It tells me everyday nothing to report. It has for several years been able yo.

    Sometimes, when you see incorrect local information (such as the news or weather for a different location) on your Welcome Screen, you may want to verify your location is correct. This can be done by making sure your correct City, State is in the top left of your Welcome Screen.
    If it is not, please click “Update Your Location” under Local News and Weather, enter your Zip Code and press Save.

    If this does not work, please clear the footprints in the software and try again.
    Then try adding your Zip Code again.

    Although the option to open the emails in a maximized window is not available, you can adjust the email window to fit the screen and open every email to that size. To do this, first open an email, then click and drag the top bar of the window to reposition it on your screen, and click and drag the outside border of the window to modify its size in order to fit the entire screen. After you set your preferred window size and position, click on the Window menu on the top bar, and select ‘Save Window Size and Position’ from the drop-down menu.

    Hi there, the reason why that person is not listed in “People Here” is because he left the chat room.

    If you see content in an AOL Chat that violates the AOL Terms of Service, let us know right away.

    1. While in a chat, select a username from the ‘People Here’ list.
    2. Using your cursor, highlight the portion of the conversation that’s in violation.
    3. Click Notify AOL.

  5. Rude Techs

    Tired of rude techs that disconnect or are unprepared. AOL help started as wonderful. Now it is a service that I discontinued years ago due to both rudeness and incompetence.

  6. AOL Financial Pages are Basically Worthless and Outdated!!

    SORRY - BUT -- AOL FINANCE which I guess from page is directed by Huff Post is an absolute waste. many articles posted today under business go back to February date and maybe even older. I had quit even looking as it is so worthless, but tried again today
    GOT NOTHING WORTHWHILE FROM IT !
    This is a disgrace and you would be better off stopping it or better get an up to date service with real business and market news!!
    Just disgusting to click on such a sorry site!!

  7. Sending Email

    In all of the previous versions of AOL we have always been able to send email by pressing......Ctrl and Shift. This made sending very easy. It's not a big thing but it would be great if you would return that.......makes sending soooo much easier!! thanks

    If you keep the mouse cursor in the To field you can send the email pressing CTRL and Enter.

  8. COMPLAINT

    You folks locked me out of my account, forced me to create a new password, passed me a code on the phone and then forced me to create an alternate e-mail address in order to get back in to my account and then only in one screen name. I have been with AOL (PAYING} for many years. You people really ****.

    Before when I wanted to send a page etc to someone there was a little envelope at the top right hand that you could click and it brought you straight to my email with the description of the page. Now I have to go through too many changes to do the same thing and it is confusing. Please restore that feature.

    To insert a webpage in an email, please follow these steps:
    1. Open your favorite website in the AOL Desktop browser.
    2. In the top right corner of the webpage, right-click on the “Heart” shaped icon then select Insert in Mail from the drop-down menu.

  10. Please bring back the option to save my preferred font style and font size ( on default settings). I am using AOL Desktop Gold

    My preferred font style is comics sans (bold) and font size is 10 pt. I am trying it to save on the Mail Settings, but AOL Desktop Gold is not accepting it.But I had it before.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign on
    2. Click Edit on the top left.
    3. Select Mail Settings from the drop-down menu.
    4. Go to the Font and Text tab.
    5. Select the desired font type and size.
    6. Close the window (changes are saved automatically).

    Fix this problem - Unauthenticated email from aol.com is not accepted due to domain's DMARC policy. Please contact the administrator of aol.com domain if this was a legitimate mail.     The DMARC policy is used by all major email provides in order to prevent the sending of scam and spoofing emails, by rejecting the emails coming from a server not owned by the domain which sends the email. In case you received this message after sending an email from your AOL address, please configure your Outgoing Mail Server using the AOL SMTP settings outlined in the section titled “AOL Mail POP and IMAP settings” from the following help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail

    To adjust the window sizes, please follow these steps:

    1. Drag one of the four corners of the window to your desired size and position.

    2. In the top right corner of the AOL Desktop, click “Window” then choose “Save Window Size and Position” from the drop-down menu.

    Please note that the option to save the window size and position will not work if the window size is set to full screen.

    If you want to report a player, hold the mouse on the player name, on the right side click on the three horizontal dots then select Flag.

  14. COMMENTS NOT POSTING - 3RD TIME POSTING THIS

    When I log into my AOL account and comment on any article in the headlines section, my comment appears to me - but DOES NOT APPEAR in my comment Profile under "Latest Activity."

    The latest activity appears to be April, despite several comments and tests made since then.

    This also only occurs under this account. When I log in anonymously, or under another AOL screenname & account, there is no problem, the system functions properly. So the problem is specific to this particular account.

    Before posting a comment on an article, check if your Nickname is displayed on the top right corner of the comment box.     The email you have received is not from AOL. It is a “phishing” scam intended to collect your information under false pretenses. Please utilize the “Report Spam” functionality within AOL mail to flag such messages for review by the appropriate department within AOL.

    Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into the issue you are experiencing with the software closing unexpectedly. To do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
    3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

    To resolve the slowness and performance issues, please try the troubleshooting solutions below:

    1. Clear the Footprints in the new AOL Desktop. Here’s how you clear the Footprints: a. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu. b. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings. No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

    2. Restart the computer. This helps clear the internal memory (RAM), which often resolves many issues. This article provides the steps to restart the PC: help.aol.com/articles/restart-the-computer

    3. Enable only the essential startup programs. Multiple programs may have been set to start automatically when a computer is turned on. These programs may cause the computer to slow down, and affect other running applications.     If you want to adjust the font size in the list of mail, click “Edit” on the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, select “Mail Settings” from the drop-down menu, and from the “Font and Text”“ tab select your preferred “ Font Size” from the drop-down menu (Small, Medium or Large). After selecting the Font Size the changes are saved automatically.

  20. AOL DataMask

    After uninstalling and reinstalling Data Mask correctly the datamask box is showing the garbled letter but when we restart the computer, its not gonna show the garbled letters anymore.

    Our engineers are aware of an issue preventing the anti-keylogging window from appearing when using both Data Mask and AOL Desktop Gold, and are currently working on a fix. Although the window does not appear, the anti-keylogging feature is still functioning in the background, so your keystrokes cannot be recorded by malware software.
