Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now. Please fix
I have been in a chat room and go back to the Chat Room Listing and Gold goes un-repsonsive.. has happened 3 times in a row now.
Please fix this version on AOL or go back to the old version that worked.

There are times when the aol desktop gold email doesn't work well. Today, I was able to go through my email without a problem, but the email doesn't always work well.
Some days, the email is very slow to respond, other days, there's no problem. The email doesn't always stay in sync for new unread mail.
I"m not sure if this a server problem, a software issue or both. -

AOL GOLD is the ABSOLUTE WORST !!!! 7 minutes to load and another ONE HOUR+ of "Not Responding." Who knows how long after that because I gave up. MAIL won't open.
SUCKS. And they don't even try to fix it or respond to the complaints. -

I have Windows 11. AOL Desktop Gold was working normally for several weeks. Starting this week the AOL will NOT Start.
I CanNot uninstall AOL on the Control Panel!
I think a Windows 11 Update came in this week. -

There is a bug with the aol desktop gold software that has to do with email. It looks like this bug has yet to be fixed. Here is what the bug is.
When the aol software is started up for the first time and I'm signed in. The number of emails in red numbers by the email icon doesn't match how many emails there are. So tonight, I have 112 emails that are unread and yet my emails that are displayed are only two.
In the task manager, there is aoldesktop.exe and cefsharp.browsersubprocess.exe. The cefsharp process is listed first and then the aoldesktop process is listed second.
At this point, if any other link or icon is clicked, the software crashes and has to be quited via the task manager. Once the software is started again. The aol desktop process is listed first followed by the cefsharp process. The email is exactly the same as last time..
I then have to wait for the aol process ram amount to fill up to 1 gig of ram. At this point, the email fixes itself and the software runs normally without crashing.
The way to fix the bug is have the aol process listed first followed by the cefsharp process. Not vice versa. If the processes are listed correctly, I think that all the unread email would also be correctly listed.
If this bug is fixed, then the aol software would function better and it would be a win for everyone.

There are still issues with aol desktop gold.
1) My desktop has an amd dual core cpu. When aol desktop gold is started up for the first time, I click on the what's new icon and the software crashes. I end the software with task manager and then start the software back up. I then click on the email where I wait a good 10 minutes for the email to fix itself since not all the email is displayed. This issue isn't present on my laptop which has an intel dual core cpu.2) The email still isn't right. Today, I have 284 unread emails and despite going through them, the number doesn't go down after reading new email.
3) The aol desktop gold auto updates needs to be redesigned. The check for updates needs to be redesigned.
The software appears to be more stable, but these issues still remain.

A follow up comment. My desktop version just updated to 3300, which is good. So it seems that the older hardware that you have, you'll get the latest update later then if you have newer hardware.

does the auto update option check for updates every day? because my desktop only has build 3270 while my laptop has build 3300.
The auto update function needs to be more functional and flexible.
There is also a bug in the 3270 build where if the software is started for the very first time, then the aol what's new icon is clicked, the software will crash. If restarted, the email won't be correct and I have to wait a good 10 minutes for the email to fix itself.
In the 3300 build, there is no red checkmark after reading new email.

Please fix the problem of AOL Gold constantly freezing when going from one user name to another. This didn't happen when AOL was free.

The latest version of aol was installed 4 days ago. The one constant about it is that it will freeze multiple times a day.If I see "aol is not responding" one more time I'll go crazy. Sign on takes forever. Calendar still doesn't send Reminders to my mailbox. The icons on the Toolbar are all hearts.

When I go to any screen page that is small print and want to enlarge it
I use the control key and the plus key
The computer screen freezes and won't moveI have to use alt ctrl delete to go to task manager and kill the program
AOL NEEDS TO FIX THIS ASAP !!!!

I go to a website and the print is very small, I try to enlarge the print by using the control key and the plus key. The page and website freezes up the locks up and you can't do any thing with the page because its locked up and won't move.
The only way to get out of it is go the task manger and kill it. -

The screen is freezing up when resizing the website. The issue is happening only on two specific websites:

http://www.crapsforum.com/
Other websites are resizing without any issues.
