Give back old sign in screen where you can see primary and secondary names and if either has messages.
On the old sign-in screen, you could see at a glance your primary and secondary screen names and if either had any messages. Now you only see one user name and you do not see if it has messages. And when you log into it to see if you have messages, it is a huge waste of time to have to get out of primary name and log into secondary name just to see if you have any messages there. Why would you go backwards and create a sign in screen that's not user friendly and one that purposely wastes the user's time? Makes no sense at all!

How do I simply change to another of my screen names. AOL is now so complicated it is basically useless. What are you idiots thinking?

The sign off link at top used to show all screens names of master account and if any of those screen names had unread mail. Now it doesn't and you have to sign into each screen name to see if any unread mail is waiting. You went from ease of use to non ease of use. Please return this feature.

I wish you would return the change screen name block to show the number of new emails waiting on each name. Removing that convenient feature was a big mistake.

If there is nothing in your in-box, then you wouldn't have to switch to the other screen name. This was very useful.

Previous aol versions displayed how many, if any, email messages were in your in-box BEFORE switch screen names. No more.

Re: Switch screen names
Before AOL Gold. when I clicked the "switch screen name" link, a window appeared showing all seven email name AND whether there was any mail in any one of them.
THAT WAS CONVENIENT.NOW, with AOL Gold, I have to manually switch to each and every email to see if it has any mail. MAJOR inconvenience and ANNOYANCE.
I have been a (paying) AOL member since 1998.
I am displeased.
Thank you. -

Would like to check all my 7 email accounts at the same time. One click, like it used to be. Would like the comment section to not default to "guest". Matter of fact, you ought to ban the guest's, they mostly are just trolls who get to use AOL for free.

Give me a way to forward email from one of my user names to another of my user names.

Very disappointing is the loss of the ability to see which email addy [of the 7 possibles] has mail by simply clicking on the "Sign Off" tab rather than laboriously switching to each email addy.
This was always possible in the pre-AOL Gold version

The old AOL had how many new emails next to each screen name. I didn't have to open every screen-name to check if there were new emails..

is there any way to restore an old screen name so i can read the e mails on that screen name? or is there some way to read the e mails from the organize file another way?

Grateful that you have fixed the issue of not being able to change screen names without the aol software freezing up.
Now my suggestion is that in AOL BLUE, the last version, when you clicked "Sign off" then "switch screen name" that window that dropped down would also display the number of emails in the other screen names in the IN BOX. If there were none, it would not be necessary to actually make the switch. The AOL GOLD does not have that function. -

GET BACK to the intelligent "switch screen manes" function where we THE USERS (remember us?) could see at a glance whether we had emails at the other screen names before switching over.
If this badly thought out change was made to appease someone - then let's get back to common sense -

I do not like the way this desktop gold mail looks at all. My biggest complaint is that before "gold" you could click on the switch screen names and before you actually switched names, you could see the number of new / unread emails. I have to check other email names several times a day and it was easy if I saw 0 next to the name and didn't have to switch to that screen name. Now to check I have to go clear back to the log in screen each time.

The sign in page does not let me see both of my user names simultaneously and doesn't show if either one has email or not. I have to actually open the user name to find out. The old sign in page showed me to view both of my user names at a glance and didn't waste my time having to open each one only to find out there are no emails waiting. I reported this many, many months ago and AOL feedback page's comment was that they were "working on it." Other things have changed on the sign-in page, but this obvious flawhas not been corrected. This makes the new gold NOT user friendly compared to the original. Please, please fix this problem.

Not much works here besides this and, yes, it is a year later.

Agree! I have also been waiting on getting the mouse forward/backward buttons to work so I can use my mouse for the purpose it was purchased for. I was told it would be fixed by Dec 2017 by their Techs. Well here we are almost a year later and it still doesn't work the way it used to in "free" 9.7 AOL.

Hello. I am so tired of this at this point. I don't think AOL much cares about us any more. Since the beginning of converting to GOLD, numerous of us have submitted feedback on the sign-on screen. One more time: In 9.8.2, we would sign on and then we could click on "sign off' on the tool bar above and we could see ALL of our screen names on a list with the number of emails for each screen name and that way we would not have to keep signing on and off of each screen name to see if we have emails on all the others. This is a complete waste of time and especially now when there are extra steps to sign on. What ever happened to this idea which early on we were told you were investigating and was pending and has now disappeared from any list I can now see? What is going on here? I have to say that this feature alone is the reason I decided to stay on and PAY for AOL when I never had to pay before. I can basically have everything I have now and not pay. This feature is extremely important to all of us. Why is this not being addressed? I just went through your list of things accomplished and you need a PhD to figure that list out. This seems hopeless at this point.
IF THIS FEATURE WILL NEVER BE IMPLEMENTED, LET US ALL KNOW AND WE CAN THEN STOP WAITING FOR IT AND MAKE AN INTELLIGENT DECISION ON WHETHER TO PAY FOR THIS LOUSY SERVICE OR NOT. -

if any new emails for each user name, like before. That way we don't have to keep switching from one user name to the other and all those extra steps. It is infuriating! You have said this is under review for over a year. i also read this would be considered. The LEAST you can do it let us know if this is ever going to happen. Then we can make an intelligent decision of whether to leave AOL or stay.
