  1. Chat room ignore feature doesn't work!

    I try to ignore someone who is in chat and I get an error stating I can't ignore myself. This piece of garbage software always has problems.

  2. Welcome Page

    Remove the nudity and what happens in Hollywood with actors that try to outdo another with nudity display. It is repulsive and AOL needs to clean it up.

  3. AOL icon will no longer show on taskbar

    It says it will show icon and notification when it next becomes active. But I am signed on so it IS active. I also restarted the computer but icon still won't show on taskbar. I believe this started with your last download. There is no longer a Report A Bug Service??

  4. How do you transfer browser saved passwords to a new PC? Export does not do it.

    Transferring Browser passwords to new computer. Need to find a way to copy/transfer AOL Browser passwords (saved in settings-browser-passwords) to a new PC. Used a Laplink PCmover program (with ethernet cable) to transfer most of my Win 10 PC to a new Win 11 PC. Program seemed to work OK, The only thing I noticed at 1st was that ALL my saved passwords for all my Favorites site were not in the Settings-Browser-Password area. (and I must have 50-75 or more saved and still on my old PC) How do I get them transferred?

  5. Fire the AOL editors. They need to be replaced!

    AOL editors suck. This is the headline story (for weeks now) - Stormy Daniels?? Stop trying to destroy America with your subversive dribble. Become a real news outlet, not a shameless panderer of all things liberal and imaginary. Go after the dems every once in awhile for all their countless sins under Obama and Clinton. Grow up editors, and do your job the right way!

  6. Stop the webpage from freezing up -- it wont move after enlarging the page

    This had just started in the last 10 days. If you try to enlarge the screen page --IT FREEZES UP==LOCKS UP and you can't get out to the page

  7. Headline articles do not match clicked story

    Come on AOL!! Your main headline articles don't match you story when clicked on. Example: Main headline "Guys trying to open locked gang safe get huge break", click on that title and it goes to: "Money Versed" 40 ways to make money without getting a real job.

    A couple of headlines later: Main headline: "Ancient item leaves experts admitting they were wrong", click on that title and it goes to the same: "Money Versed" 40 ways to make money without getting a real job".
    You also really need to ***** down on your editors and the reporters to "PROOF-READ"…

    Please try clearing the Browser Footprints and let us know if the issue persists:
    1. In the top left corner of the AOL Desktop window, click “Edit” then choose “Select Footprints to Clear” from the drop-down menu.
    2. Select “Clear Footprints” from the Browser Settings.

    No need to wait for a confirmation message, the Footprints will be cleared immediately.

    The personal filing cabinet is stored in a local database folder, which can be opened by accessing the path below in the Windows Run box (press the Windows key + R): LOCALAPPDATA\AOLDesktopData\db"

    My computer answers:
    "Windows cannot find LOCALAPPDATA\AOLDesktopData\db".

    The correct path for the AOL Desktop Gold database folder is “LOCALAPPDATA\AOLDesktopData\db” (without quotes).

  9. Slow Response Loading Welcome Page and Changing Screen Names

    The AOL tech on 7/2/20 sent a Bug report indicating my Welcome Screen and changing screen names were slow in responding. She said the issues were intermittent and said the issue was with my computer. Yes, on VERY FEW occasions, it is intermittent. BUT THAT IS A FALSE ANALYSIS.

    As a 23-year paid member and before AOL Gold, I used an older PC and router and slower Internet speeds, and never had a slow running computer using AOL. So, why now? All other browsers work fine ALL OF THE TIME.

    Right-Click on the AOL Desktop Gold shortcut, and select Properties, and from the Compatibility tab uncheck “Run this program as an administrator”.

    If you still have issues call at 1-888-265-3733.

  11. I was not receiving any email for the day. This went on for 3 days and I had to call AOL to fix it...very frustrated and time consuming.

    Every day I try to access my email and all I get is the email from the day before. I had to call 3 times so AOL could fix the problem.

  16. web pages, it goes back the AOL search Results every time!!

    issue started in 2021, when i try to open a link it got to the AOL search results when i want to click a link in my favorites, e-mails, other web pages it goes back the AOL search Results
    please help this !!! you can see in my call history that i have been dealing with this for a a very long time. please consider a Bata Version i was told about or a patch~

  17. Why did AOL Gold change my settings on my laptop?

    When I download AOL Gold it changed my file type associations for .htm and .html to AOL Gold. I never authorized this. What other covert changes did you also do to my computer? I absolutely do not trust AOL at all. If AOL was trustworthy, they would have a delivered a quality product first time.

  18. Bug in New Spam Settings

    I mistakenly added a word to the list of specific words and phrases (then realized it was a bad idea, as now hundreds of emails are being sent to the Spam Folder). When I try to remove it, I get an error: "We seem to have trouble sending this request. Please try again in 5 minutes. Code: Forbidden." No matter how many times I've tried, the "spam" word I want to delete won't go away! Please fix this!! I can provide a screenshot if you need it.

  19. AOL Gold Desktop doesn't recognize my Adobe Flash and PDF programs

    Ever since I downloaded and have used the new AOL Gold Desktop, the program does not recognize that I already have Adobe Flash on my computer, no need to download it again for AOL's use. I keep it updated but not through AOL Gold Desktop. It works fine except for the constant "Download Adobe Flash" message. Same is true for PDF files, When I download a PDF file, I cannot read it from AOL Gold Desktop. I have to sign off, go searching for the PDF file, then read it separately.   20. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!

    I continue to have issues sending emails with embedded graphics - I get the email all ready to send and press SEND and it doesnt send. The word SEND continues to be in BOLD and not grayed out. It NEVER sends! Then I have to copy/paste the entire email over and make my attachments one more time. THEN it will send. Since I do a lot of graphic work (One of the main reasons that I liked AOL - past tense - is for the graphic capabilities) this is causing me much more work as it happens 90% of the…
