  1. Ads on Welcome page from things I have searched for Christmas

    I have a major complaint, this has been going on for such a long time, but I have just about had it with ads hitting me in the face constantly, even when I was paying for your most expensive membership. On the Welcome page over to the right hand side, it constantly is showing me things I have searched, I know what I have searched, I dont need to be reminded, but this is the problem, we all have 7 email addresses on our accts, so I have one and my husband has another.   4. You want to improve "gold"? Start over cause it ain't working

    What has happened. Now when I sigh on, there is NO option for a screen name and when I tried to open an email, it took over 6 minutes and it still was not open. I gave up trying after that. You "fix" one thing and break 5 others.

  5. Getting blue bar when trying to correct words that deletes the following words

    When I'm typing and make a mistake, I go back to correct it and I get a BLUE bar, that deletes letters on the next word. I have to change positions, correct the misspelling and then put it back in place. That happens with no warning. And it happens, no all the time, but a lot of times.

    In order to disable the overtype mode, press the Insert key on your keyboard, then you can please the cursor behind the word you want to delete.

    Once you read an email and you wish to delete it simply click on the “Delete” button on the bottom of the screen.

    1. The status disappear on ******@aol.com

    2. The status on *******was ok and after a few days appears this message: “Not available…”

    3. Cannot keep pinned the AOL task bar

    4. Waiting too much time to open AOL Gold

    5. Cannot copy and paste sometimes links from the Internet; However, there are no problems with Mozilla or Google

    6. Cannot copy from Microsoft word to the e-mail box

    7. Cannot copy news from the Israeli website to the e-mail box

    8. AOL is asking too many times for verifications, as long I setup already with AOL technicians…

  8. AOL telephone numbers

    I am very confused about what phone numbers I should use. I have been using a VIP tel. number with my VIP number but it doesn’t work. What shall I do with my number? Do I keep it?
    I have a number for tech support and billing.
    For Assist I have these numbers:
    1-800/361-5440 Assist.*
    1-844/209-7254 ”
    1-855/221-0416 “
    1-844/218-2840 “
    AOL 1-800/827-6364 Tech support and billing
    1-855/265-8477 VIP tel no. which the voice mail forwards me to then it says (“This number is experiencing technical difficulties Try again later”.) for quite some time now but calling later doesn’t help…

    Regarding the double spacing in emails, this might be a result of using a certain Font type or size. You can adjust the Font type or size in order to reduce the spacing.

  9. can't delete folders in "READ"

    Good Morning,

    I've been trying to delete some folders under "My Mail Folders" .. The error message says either error code EC-4001 or it asks if I want to delete the folder and I say YES but it doesn't delete

    This has been going on for a while

    AOL gold does not prompt me to save usernames and passwords, even though I have selected that function. I do not know how to fix this. I am trying to do it on my Craigslist account. Google chrome saves the username and password. Because of the ease of going to websites on Chrome, I have to have 2 browsers open all the time.

    As I mentioned previously, I believe you are at risk for litigation if someone with epilepsy has a seizure related to this inappropriate ad when trying to view their email. If you don't respond, I will be forced to contact the Federal Communications Commission about this problem.

  13. Continue & Expand the Romanian Tec Support Center

    1. I opened up AOL this morning and found that AOL 9.8 was no longer available to use. Although I had uploaded AOL Gold I did not like it preferring my 9.8 and continue to pay you for my service. I was given no notice of the change or options to retain the old verson. That was rude.
    2. What I disliked about AOL Gold is that I was not able send emails to groups. I called the number on the screen and a very nice agent in Romania? Assisted me in transferring the needed groups into my 2nd Aol Gold computer

    Unfortunately, groups you have saved in the old software cannot be transferred to AOL Gold. That is why you have been told that you have to manually re-enter them in the new software. We hope to improve this experience for you.

    We built the AOL Desktop Gold from the ground up with the speed and reliability of the latest technology. We are updating it every 2 weeks, please continue to send us feedback of what features you would like to see implemented.

  14. Yet another problem. I am trying to save a group in my Address Book.

    Most of the time it does not save, and on the rare occasions it does save, it is not complete. Why???

  15. FIX THIS THING!!!

    I don't know how many times I have gone to the SENT mail in the dropdown and clicked it and have lost the connection to AOL.Go ahead and do your regular fix, just merge this with something else and forget about it. AOL has really gone down hill lately. Are you trying to fix things that aren't broken?

  16. Having a problem when accessing portfolio.

    Having a problem when accessing portfolio. When trying to access my own portfolio I am routed to other person's portfolio. I would have to reenter my portfolio numerous time before getting to my own portfolio. I already called tech support, no known issue found. Please refer to case - 05648744. This is urgent. Thanks!

  18. Photos and text from Word documents don't paste into email message.

    Unlike AOL 9.8.2, photos/ graphics/ text from Word Documents don't paste into email message box.

    Very frustrating in trying to communicate in a professional way.

    AOL 9.8.2 allowed pasting of many photos and graphics, as well as large amounts of text---almost like a newsletter publishing software.

    AOL Gold is just not sufficiently professional to give a good impression.

  19. Search in mail folders not working right

    When I enter a set of letters such as "abc" or "cde" in userid "abcdefg@xyz.com" or the "abc" in the subject "this Labcoat", That email WILL BE FOUND and highlighted..

    BUT, when trying to find "Un" or "know" in "UnknownSendfer@UnknownDomain , These are NEVER Found
    Nor will the seach for "know' in subject line with "do you know" on one of those "unknown..." sender emails

    The search acts as if the blind copy emails ( Unknownsender ) don't exist.
