  1. An inbox ad just ran with audio

    The ad says I should not shut down my computer or files will be lost. Why do you let junk like this run on PAID subscription Desktop Gold?

    I've previously run McAfee afterwards and nothing was found.

  2. Need to tell customer full ramifications

    I am furious!!!!!! On July 2 I worked with your tech Algen Albino as my aol screen had frozen. He suggested I install System Mechanic for $4.95 a month which i did and which took a great deal of time. On July 3 I opened my computer and could not get on AOL Gold and my recycle bin had been completely deleted. Today I talked to a tech support Alex and he deleted System Mechanic from my computer, but said I could sign up for something at a cost to try and restore some of my recycle bin. I…

    Stop lying about always trying improve AOL. You took away Keyword spam block and adding new users names to an existing
    account. These were two huge steps in the wrong direction.

  4. AOL GOLD address book is still not working. If you add a name from 'all contacts' it goes in but does not stay in.

    AOL GOLD address book is still not working after all this time. I have reported this many times. One Example: If you try and transfer a name from 'All Contacts' to a folder below, it goes in but after AOL GOLD is closed it does not stay in. The address book is a complete shambles. Very poor planning on the upgrade.

  5. AOL GOLD SUCKS !!!

    I am doing more work than is necessary because you decided that it's better. I hate the fact that when trying to save a picture it automatically goes to download, and then I have to find where I want to put it. Also, when looking for a picture the setting is on video and I want all files, so again, I am doing the work. I sure hope you find a better edition soon....

  6. Make it possible for users to print out a website address list of My Favorites

    Please provide a way for an AOL user to print out the website addresses of all their Favorites. If I could have printed my Favorites I would have an easy reference now that installing AOL on a new computer did not populate my Favorites and to make it worse, I can't put any favorites in My Favorites on the "new" AOL installation.

    Your Tech Mary said she was going to connect me to Billing. I told her I thought they were closed tonight but she said I could reach someone by requesting “get live help.” That did not work out.

    I have had five problems so far with your app AOL TECH FORTRESS over the three days that your AOLtech convinced me to give it a try. I want it removed ASAP and I should not be charged for it.

    Problem #! I neeedd to get on an educational website for a school project. AOL TECH FORTRESS would not allow it.…

  8. Error Messages Keep Telling Me My Mail Cannot Be Sent Because of Some Error

    Sometimes I get a message that says my mail cannot be sent because of an error yet it will send if I put it into Mail Waiting to be Sent. Other times it says We Seem To Be Having Trouble Loading Your Mail. Try Again in 5 Minutes. But five minutes, ten minutes, half an hour later and it still won't send my mail!!

  9. I can't send pictures in emails

    When trying to send pictures in email they go into cyber space and won't send. After 5 minutes you give up and try to close it and it said WRITE MAIL HAS CHANGED DO YOU WANT TO SAVE IT? When you check yes there is nothing in the draft box. WHATS GOING ON HERE! I need this to work this is my business to send pictures either fix it or give me the old version back I had no problems with that.

  10. Security encryption has problems

    I already reported this to the the team, but it is still not fixed. Here is the problem. that program migrates all across the computer when I have the AOL Gold program open that has the encryption. If I open another browser or even word pad what every I type is a bunch of jumbled letters and symbols instead of what I'm typing, Some times even my sign it is encrypted and I can't sign in to the Gold program. One of those times I needed to verify my account to another web site and they sent me a code…

  12. Your tecks can't fix the problems Gold sucks give us back 9.8.2 untill you get something that works!

    My browser says it need updating and it won't update you click on help, check for updates the it disappears. tech uninstalled and re downloaded Gold reinstalled no change. In y favorite places when I click on a link that has a secondary link blank page or get error browser needs updating, worked fie until first of this week. copy paste in Google Chrome works fine. but i would like what I paying for to work. give us back our old AOL until you get this **** Gold fixed doesn't seem like you even trying to fix it.     We are investigating this issue. In the meantime, if you right click the mail folder (inbox, new, old, etc.) and select "refresh" this should refresh all of the mails inside of that folder.

  14. Help! My address book is not working well at all.

    Hello; For the last few days, anytime I make a change to my aol address book, I'm getting messages where the address book function is having problems and to try again in five minutes. I wait ten minutes, try again, but continue to get the same message. Yesterday I created several groups and this morning, they showed up just perfectly in my address book. Tonight, all but two are gone. This is really causing me a lot of stress, since I use aol to notify my church family of sickness, info, etc. What's going on? Thank you!

  15. POOR PERFORMANCE

    I HATE/ABHOR AOL DESKTOP GOLD. I have never seen such a total failure of a site that was previously working well for many. For this we are paying money??? Performance is horrible and, it is NOT my computer as I've had it checked out by experts who, BTW, echo sentiments about AOL. As soon as I can find a way to transfer all my favorites, saved data, emails, contacts, etc., this 30yr customer is HISTORY. Booo Hisss AOL...shame on you.

  18. FAKE TECHNICAL SUPPORT NUMBER

    I did a search on AOL for AOL tech support phone number and one of the numbers that came up was --*. I called the number and was told that someone in Mexico was trying to access my computer. I was only asked my email address and permission to access my computer remotely. No account questions or security questions were asked. It did not sound legitimate so I hung up. I had a hard time even understanding the man on the other end.

    This is someone posing as an AOL consultant and claiming to help with problems relating to passwords, line noise, hackers or other technical issues. What they really want is to find out your AOL password and other personal information. Remember, AOL Customer Support Team Representatives will NEVER ask you for your password. If you suspect someone is posing as an AOL consultant, do not give them any of your personal information (name, address, password, social security number, bank information, etc.).   20. My Data Export/Import

    Found My Data in settings by accident. Was very happy to see an Export/Import for mail, etc. Had old emails in Gold on one computer so did the Export to transfer to a new desktop. The Import is now taking over three hours!!!! And it's still not done!!!!! I'm going to let it run just to see if it really will import all my 9.8.2 emails. Really shouldn't take this long. The Export also took a very long time. This needs some work.
