  1. Error Messages Keep Telling Me My Mail Cannot Be Sent Because of Some Error

    Sometimes I get a message that says my mail cannot be sent because of an error yet it will send if I put it into Mail Waiting to be Sent. Other times it says We Seem To Be Having Trouble Loading Your Mail. Try Again in 5 Minutes. But five minutes, ten minutes, half an hour later and it still won't send my mail!!

  2. I can't send pictures in emails

    When trying to send pictures in email they go into cyber space and won't send. After 5 minutes you give up and try to close it and it said WRITE MAIL HAS CHANGED DO YOU WANT TO SAVE IT? When you check yes there is nothing in the draft box. WHATS GOING ON HERE! I need this to work this is my business to send pictures either fix it or give me the old version back I had no problems with that.

  3. Need to tell customer full ramifications

    I am furious!!!!!! On July 2 I worked with your tech Algen Albino as my aol screen had frozen. He suggested I install System Mechanic for $4.95 a month which i did and which took a great deal of time. On July 3 I opened my computer and could not get on AOL Gold and my recycle bin had been completely deleted. Today I talked to a tech support Alex and he deleted System Mechanic from my computer, but said I could sign up for something at a cost to try and restore some of my recycle bin. I…

  4. Security encryption has problems

    I already reported this to the the team, but it is still not fixed. Here is the problem. that program migrates all across the computer when I have the AOL Gold program open that has the encryption. If I open another browser or even word pad what every I type is a bunch of jumbled letters and symbols instead of what I'm typing, Some times even my sign it is encrypted and I can't sign in to the Gold program. One of those times I needed to verify my account to another web site and they sent me a code…

  6. Make it possible for users to print out a website address list of My Favorites

    Please provide a way for an AOL user to print out the website addresses of all their Favorites. If I could have printed my Favorites I would have an easy reference now that installing AOL on a new computer did not populate my Favorites and to make it worse, I can't put any favorites in My Favorites on the "new" AOL installation.

  8. probems with aol tech fortress

    Your Tech Mary said she was going to connect me to Billing. I told her I thought they were closed tonight but she said I could reach someone by requesting “get live help.” That did not work out.

    I have had five problems so far with your app AOL TECH FORTRESS over the three days that your AOLtech convinced me to give it a try. I want it removed ASAP and I should not be charged for it.

    Problem #! I neeedd to get on an educational website for a school project. AOL TECH FORTRESS would not allow it.…

  9. Help! My address book is not working well at all.

    Hello; For the last few days, anytime I make a change to my aol address book, I'm getting messages where the address book function is having problems and to try again in five minutes. I wait ten minutes, try again, but continue to get the same message. Yesterday I created several groups and this morning, they showed up just perfectly in my address book. Tonight, all but two are gone. This is really causing me a lot of stress, since I use aol to notify my church family of sickness, info, etc. What's going on? Thank you!

  10. POOR PERFORMANCE

    I HATE/ABHOR AOL DESKTOP GOLD. I have never seen such a total failure of a site that was previously working well for many. For this we are paying money??? Performance is horrible and, it is NOT my computer as I've had it checked out by experts who, BTW, echo sentiments about AOL. As soon as I can find a way to transfer all my favorites, saved data, emails, contacts, etc., this 30yr customer is HISTORY. Booo Hisss AOL...shame on you.

  13. Settings need check by AOL techs

    I received a note on my previous feedback asking me to call an AOL "Technical Support Agent" about my feedback issue for change: Namely that when I try to move a heart icon that's under a file in my "favorites box" to a different folder, the minute I click on the heart, the entire list of folders and icon items shifts to the left inside the favorite box. This obliterates seeing the left column of file icons. Why? I called the AOL technical agent as directed in "product support" but he had no idea how to stop that from happening…

  14. My Data Export/Import

    Found My Data in settings by accident. Was very happy to see an Export/Import for mail, etc. Had old emails in Gold on one computer so did the Export to transfer to a new desktop. The Import is now taking over three hours!!!! And it's still not done!!!!! I'm going to let it run just to see if it really will import all my 9.8.2 emails. Really shouldn't take this long. The Export also took a very long time. This needs some work.

  15. AOL GOLD JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE

    I just spent an hour and forty five minutes trying to answer ONE e-mail.
    Mostly this software just runs endlessly and the screen locks up, making it completely USELESS. Nothing like going backwards.....I almost think that dial up was faster than this monstrosity. Trying to refrain from belligerence....20 years with AOL for this????? Depressing...

    This issue is fixed in the latest revision. Please make sure you have the latest AOL Desktop Gold version by clicking the “Help” button on the top, right corner of the window, and selecting “ About AOL“ from the drop-down menu. In the middle of the “About AOL” window, you’ll see the version you have installed.

    If the version is lower than 11.0.1630, keep the AOL Desktop signed in for at least 20 minutes then close and reopen the software. The update should automatically upload. If the issue persists after updating the AOL Desktop, please let us know.

  16. AOL Games

    The AOL games are not working even though we already have updated the flash player. We also did try to refresh the AOL server by uninstalling and re-installing the software. Also, tried to turn off the anti-virus, but still having the same issue.

  17. DNS errors

    This week I am constantly getting a DNS error when I sign on. When AOL seems otherwise to be working properly, I'll try to open up my email and constantly get the dreaded DNS error. Not only does it appear, but you can delete it! Every type you try type something, it shows up again. I've been dealing with this for a week, and it's time for this to end! Thank you!

    Restarting your computer, modem and any home networking equipment, will help your computer get a better connection. Follow the steps below: 1. Shut down your computer. 2. Unplug the power cord from your cable, DSL, or dial-up modem, and router (if you have one). 3. Wait 30 seconds. 4. If you use an external modem, plug the power cord into your cable, DSL, or dial-up modem. 5. If you have a router, plug the power cord into your router. 6. Turn on your computer.

  18. Address book issue

    I was trying to send email and I have this issue when I enter the first 2-3 letters of the name it will show many names that I don't want to see. Hope you can fix the address book where I can just enter the name and place a coma ( , ) then the next name then coma again and it works, the old version was a lot better.

  19. a new perk or a problem?

    Starting tonight 5/16/18, whenever I'm doing my email, whenever I close out the mail and delete it, my curser automatically goes to the top of the list. When I'm trying to look at email that was posted 3 days ago and I keep ending up at the top of the list its very annoying, I have to find where I was and start again. Why can't things just be left alone? Its like trying to reinvent the wheel and you just can't leave things that aren't broken alone. So very aggravating!

    How dare AOL try to scam me to pay $100 to remove virus software from computers in my household !!! After trying to download AOL Gold I received an error message to contact customer support which I did . After talking to several people , one Tech told me my new laptop had a virus and it will travel to all the computers in the household and he can clean them all for $ 99.99 .
