AOL Games
The AOL games are not working even though we already have updated the flash player. We also did try to refresh the AOL server by uninstalling and re-installing the software. Also, tried to turn off the anti-virus, but still having the same issue.

FAKE TECHNICAL SUPPORT NUMBER
I did a search on AOL for AOL tech support phone number and one of the numbers that came up was --*. I called the number and was told that someone in Mexico was trying to access my computer. I was only asked my email address and permission to access my computer remotely. No account questions or security questions were asked. It did not sound legitimate so I hung up. I had a hard time even understanding the man on the other end.
This is someone posing as an AOL consultant and claiming to help with problems relating to passwords, line noise, hackers or other technical issues. What they really want is to find out your AOL password and other personal information. Remember, AOL Customer Support Team Representatives will NEVER ask you for your password. If you suspect someone is posing as an AOL consultant, do not give them any of your personal information (name, address, password, social security number, bank information, etc.). Settings need check by AOL techs
I received a note on my previous feedback asking me to call an AOL "Technical Support Agent" about my feedback issue for change: Namely that when I try to move a heart icon that's under a file in my "favorites box" to a different folder, the minute I click on the heart, the entire list of folders and icon items shifts to the left inside the favorite box. This obliterates seeing the left column of file icons. Why? I called the AOL technical agent as directed in "product support" but he had no idea how to stop that from happening…

How dare AOL try to scam me to pay $100 to remove virus software from computers in my household !!! After trying to download AOL Gold I received an error message to contact customer support which I did . After talking to several people , one Tech told me my new laptop had a virus and it will travel to all the computers in the household and he can clean them all for $ 99.99 . keeps getting worse
Not only won't it open it's own pages, it won't open pages that I have saved in My Favorites. How can anyone launch something of this poor quality, and then ask people to pay for it??? And don't even try to open AOL Weather. I've closed this down only to find it still running a half a gig of memory with nothing running.......WTH??? I'm getting tired of having to shut everything down, REBOOT the whole computer and starting over....off to see if AOL Shield will work on anything.....

AOL GOLD JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE
I just spent an hour and forty five minutes trying to answer ONE e-mail.
Mostly this software just runs endlessly and the screen locks up, making it completely USELESS. Nothing like going backwards.....I almost think that dial up was faster than this monstrosity. Trying to refrain from belligerence....20 years with AOL for this????? Depressing...This issue is fixed in the latest revision. Please make sure you have the latest AOL Desktop Gold version by clicking the “Help” button on the top, right corner of the window, and selecting “ About AOL“ from the drop-down menu. In the middle of the “About AOL” window, you’ll see the version you have installed.
If the version is lower than 11.0.1630, keep the AOL Desktop signed in for at least 20 minutes then close and reopen the software. The update should automatically upload. If the issue persists after updating the AOL Desktop, please let us know.

Address book issue
I was trying to send email and I have this issue when I enter the first 2-3 letters of the name it will show many names that I don't want to see. Hope you can fix the address book where I can just enter the name and place a coma ( , ) then the next name then coma again and it works, the old version was a lot better.

a new perk or a problem?
Starting tonight 5/16/18, whenever I'm doing my email, whenever I close out the mail and delete it, my curser automatically goes to the top of the list. When I'm trying to look at email that was posted 3 days ago and I keep ending up at the top of the list its very annoying, I have to find where I was and start again. Why can't things just be left alone? Its like trying to reinvent the wheel and you just can't leave things that aren't broken alone. So very aggravating!

not opening scan mail
When I write an email and attach a scan document into the email I cannot open the scan document to make sure I am sending the right document. I could always open it before, this issue of not being able to open it started about 4 weeks ago. I have talked to two service people, one said she would send it to another department, however, I never heard anything about it. Both time they took AOL of my computer and reloaded it. What am I paying a monthly fee for when I get over 100 spam mails a day with no way to block them?
Posting for this same subject has been going on since at least 2019. Even if we could block them (AOL makes certain we cannot) it would show AOL cared about customers. I pay a monthly fee so am a customer. If you right click to block AOL tells you to wait five minutes. That is a joke, try it. If you click spam to send it there then you have about 200 a day to delete or keep and add another 100 or so every day. Time to get qualified technical support or give the ones you have permission to…

Make AOL a pleasure to use. As currently configured its very frustrating.
Dam near everything I try to do gets interrupted with some AOL warning. Cant change billing. Cant change my password. Pages are not available. Pretty soon AOL won't let me log out.

Mouse forward and backword buttons do not work like they did in other versions like 9.7. When will this be fixed? Mouse works fine everywhere except in the Gold Desktop. I have contacted Techs many times before and I am just told it will be reported but it still is not fixed and it has been almost a year now. It is not my computer at fault, it is AOL programming which causes this.

Please bring back the option to save my preferred font style and font size ( on default settings). I am using AOL Desktop Gold
My preferred font style is comics sans (bold) and font size is 10 pt. I am trying it to save on the Mail Settings, but AOL Desktop Gold is not accepting it.But I had it before.
Follow these steps:
1. Open AOL Desktop Gold and sign on
2. Click Edit on the top left.
3. Select Mail Settings from the drop-down menu.
4. Go to the Font and Text tab.
5. Select the desired font type and size.
6. Close the window (changes are saved automatically). -
Six major issues still with AOL Gold, despite them being reported to Tech Support.
AOL Desktop Gold still has major bugs after one month since its mandated use on January 14, 2018:
- Drafts are frequently not being saved despite hitting the "Send Later" button. Five minutes later, an error message appears saying that AOL mail is unavailable at this time and to try again in five minutes. The original draft has been "Pended" on the screen and displays either where it sat the whole time or it's placed behind the open Mail window.
The only workaround solution is to try to save the draft another way when hitting the "X" (top right of draft)…

Accessibility is TERRIBLE! I needed 7 - seven!- logins, 2 computer re-starts to read my email!!!
AOL GOLD needs accessibility and proper function for a valid browser. It has NOT reached that stage.
