  1. When I copy and try to paste a second image, it will paste the first or previous image instead. Please fix this! It's very frustrating!

    I have to shut down and restart in order to paste the current image I want to paste. It pastes the previous image instead of the current copied image. I've sent feedback about this problem before, but it has not been fixed. Are you listening, AOL Gold?

  2. make it consistent to connect

    aol gold is a genuine pain **********. it routinely won't connect even now that i have reinstalled it into my new HP computer 5th generation with Spectrum 5G internet service. Sometimes it will connect the next day-- who knows why. it is very interrupting to my business. Maybe this is a good time to dump aol service.

  3. Email is not updating

    For the past few days my email is not current. I know there are new mails because they come through on my phone. But Desktop Gold on my computer is not updating. I tried the "refresh mail" but this does nothing. It only updates if I completely shut it down and resign in. HELP!

    Please send us a crash report in order for our engineers to look into the issue you are experiencing. To do that, please follow these steps:

    1. Open AOL Desktop Gold.
    2. Click on Help on the top right, and select Report a Bug from the drop-down menu.
    3. Type a short description of the problem, and click Send.

    For immediate assistance with this issue, please call us at 1-888-265-3733.

  4. It should be possible to read mail saved on one's PC without having to sign on to AOL

    AOL is engaging in deception by telling users they can save mail on their PC. No, that is not true. If it was, users would be able to read it without signing on, would be able to back it up, and would be able to transfer it to another computer. This appears to be a ploy to force users to continue to pay for the desktop software indefinitely if they want to be able to read "saved" mail. AOL has had 5 months to restore this and other features that were available in older versions, and has failed to…

  5. I have been on hold for 4 hours over a two day period, I can't open my mail and in the process it locks up my computer. WTF

    Get rid of desk top Gold, we pay for a system that doesn't work and there is no one in tech support that has a clue how to fix anything. I have to go on Goggle to get to AOL Mail. Can someone PLEASE get to me. If this continues I going to cancel.

  6. Adg security feature is annoying

    I am unable to open different links from some emails because those are recognized to be fishy by Aol Dektop Gold, if I try to go on the web mail and open those links, even thought they a recognized by Malware bytes as being suspicious I can at least open them. since I use adg mostly, it is a very annoying feature, so please allow me to choose if I want to go to a website or not

  7. Rapid flashing AOL ads and law suits

    I've got three emails open and my desktop email window. There are four, rapidly flashing ads driving me nuts and making me sick to my stomach, so that I can't work. Maybe you, AOL, don't care about that, but are you aware that, for someone with epilepsy, that type of rapid, flashing movement can cause a seizure? And perhaps a law suit? Do you actually believe that those ads sell anything? Maybe people click on them just to try to stop the movement, but if I could stop them long enough to read whose ads they are -- or when…

  8. All contacts in my mailbox are getting e-mails from me with something from DROPBOX. My IT tech says AOL was hacked. Please advise.

    All contacts in my mailbox are getting e-mails from me with something from DROPBOX. I never sent them out. AOL tech checked my computer and said it wasn't compromised . My IT tech says AOL was hacked, because he is getting calls from his clients who use AOL. The same thing is happening to their address books. Please advise.

  9. Why did AOL Gold change my settings on my laptop?

    When I download AOL Gold it changed my file type associations for .htm and .html to AOL Gold. I never authorized this. What other covert changes did you also do to my computer? I absolutely do not trust AOL at all. If AOL was trustworthy, they would have a delivered a quality product first time.

  10. I cannot download an email attachment or print an email to a PDF printer. I have reported this bug 3 times and no response.

    Recently when I delete the messages in my SPAM Folder, they reappear in my RECENTLY DELETED MAIL Folder, so I have to delete them a second time. Please figure out why this is happening because it is annoying. I explained this to AOL Tech Support who took control of my computer but it continues to happen. Thank you. .

    We should not have to pay for this until you get it working right. We all deserve refunds. Every time I go into my email there are email's I already deleted. I try and send an email, especially when there is an attachment and it doesn't send or it takes a very long time.   13. News content is no longer news

    I'm a 20 year aol customer. I use to get the majority of my news from the aol home page. No longer though. The first 2 or 3 items are as far as I go, because the remaining 75 or so items are a waste of my time, and I would think many others as well. Filled with topics generally found in People magazine. Not news. Maybe separate hard news into a dedicated category. I'd be glad to try again.

  14. Write mail area is the wrong size! Doesn't match "open" box size!

    The new "write mail" area fir ab email composed is the wrong size! After composing a professional letter in the new area allowed, the person who opens the email finds large gaps between words in the email's sentences, because the box they open mail in doesn't match the size of the box it was written in! This causes the mail to auto-adjust leaving large gaps between words. This wastes my time trying to figure out how to size an email that won't have gaps and look unprofessional when it is opened. This did not happen with the old program.…

  15. I am paying for your services and have to read and send mail on IE most of the time because GOLD is currently not able to send mail.

    fix AOL Gold.It ruined my computer and nothing works properly.Not to mention that I lost over 100 pieces of important info that did not get transferred.   16. i cannot get into stories-tells me unauthorized. i pay for this aol gold monthly. fix the problem.

    aol gold now gives me "UNAUTHORIZED" when i try to read a story. either this gets fixed or i go with another carrier. called tech support and they could not fix it. i am disgusted!!!!!

  17. Why can't we delete Apps that we don't want? Ex. Tech Fortress blocks anything I try to do. Tried uninstall appeared to work still pops up.

    If you'll are so helpful up front downloading these you should be the same if I decide I don't want it any longer, but Help desk has refused.

    Sorry to hear Tech Fortress did not meet your needs. If you still have the subscription active you can cancel it by following these steps:
    1. Visit MyAccount.aol.com.
    2. Click My Services.
    3. Click Subscriptions.
    4. Click Manage next to the plan you’d like to cancel.
    5. Click Cancel.
    6. Click Cancel My Billing.
    7. Select a reason for canceling from the drop-down menu.
    8. Click Cancel My Billing.

    This issue is most likely caused by the fact that the email contained too many recipients. AOL does not disclose the number of recipients or emails that can be sent at one time, but we recommend sending the email to a smaller group of recipients. You can split larger groups into multiple emails.

    Please check if you have the option enabled. Click on Mail option > Mail Settings > select the General tab > check the option “Use tab key to indent when writing an email”

    Changes are saved automatically.

  20. I don't like AOL Gold making my hard drive run 100% of the time I'm using AOL. Please stop that!

    I have 3 different computers, and on all of them whenever I'm using AOL Gold my hard drive runs 100% of the time. The hard drives running 100% of the time when using AOL Gold needs to stop!!!
