AOL - NON help
have an educated and intelligent person, that DOES NOT speak "computerees" set up all help on your site. as it is it only creates more problems - than a Pregnant Nun may have... I am 68 years old, 2 undergrad degrees and decades of USING a computer..and can t acccomplish - changing AOL account password, pay my bill with AOL, etc etc. etc. after 1.5 hours I gave up. and I did us my Master AOL address. OH. and have person with English as 1st lang. set up all.

AOL Desk top deleting folders
My APL Desk top will not allow me to delete my folders. These are HORRIBLE new changes to AOL Desk top. E
I swear every time I try to do the stuff on AOL that I have been doing for 30 years has now changed and it's for the WORSE not for the better. Why are you making things harder instead of easier????We have corrected this in the latest version. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Since last Update everything is messed up worse
Since the last update it seems everything is a mess ....worse than before if thats possible......Emails are a nightmare to send, all you get are either "try again in few minutes" or get errr msg!!! and still no staus available of mail sent......Why do you keep screwing it up??? Your making it worse each time!!!

Gold is getting worse and worse.
First you take away the ability to organize the favorites. Now you have removed the User ID's from the sign in screen. And the Add a New User does not work? And when you try and type an email, the address automatically goes into the body of the message. The problems go on and on. What are you doing?

GOLD address file still not working correctly
The Gold address book is still working correctly. I have had issues with this from the very beginning. If you transfer a name from 'All Contacts' into an address folder it will not stay in there. I also get duplications in the address folders. I have lost names in the address folders also. I have contacted AOL techs several times and they reset my address book only to have it not work properly again and again. It makes no difference if the people using this so called GOLD tell AOL what is wrong they do nothing. I am trying to get the group emails

It is possible that some contacts were saved offline in the old AOL Desktop (version 9.8 or lower). Since the option to export the address book from the old AOL Desktop is not available, we recommend opening the Address Book in from the old AOL Desktop (there is no need to sign in, in order to open the Address Book) and after retrieving the missing contacts, to manually add them in AOL Desktop Gold (they will be saved on the server, and can be accessed from different devices). Scam Messages
I get at least 3 scam messages every day. The say I won something, an account of mine will be cancelled or my my computer has several viruses. I need to contact them immediately. It would be nice to be able to report these to AOL and once verified by AOL do not allow them through the system at all. Some probably use different addresses but AOL should be able to quickly identify them all by the common message. It is time for the various email networks do something.

Need installer
Not sure how but my son lost AOL gold on his computer it's a blank white icon, we tried downloading online but it wants me to pay for another membership? Copied the installer from my laptop to a flash drive tried installing it tells us that both my screenname and his are not valid on the client or something along those lines. I pay for AOL every month, it's not due to be paid for a few days... How can I reinstall his aol gold so that he doesn't lose anything he saved on aol?

Error: 101 - ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
Now I keep getting this error when trying to access many web pages. I do not need to call support. It is at your end. Many people are experiencing this. I've cleared my browser and signed off and back on but still get it.
Please power cycle (reboot) your modem/router, by following these steps:
Switch off and unplug the power from your modem/router.
Leave both unplugged for 30 seconds.
Plug the power back into the modem/router and verify that you are again connected to the Internet.If you still encounter issues call us at 1-888-265-3733.

2 step verification for log in security
I set up the 2 step verification for log in security. The first time I logged in after setup desktop gold browser ask me for a 4 digit code sent by email before i could log in which was great. The first log in procedure never ask me if i wanted my computers i use or the wifi ip address i use (not sure which) to be remembered so the next time i log in i wouldnt have to enter 4 digit code. The second time i logged into my account after the 2 step verification was set up…

something broken between AOL Desktop Gold and Facebook
In the past few days when I go to Facebook from inside my AOL software, I type in my email and password and the reCAPTCHA comes up and takes me through all kinds of loops before it says "try again". For 17 times!!! When it finally does accept what I'm doing, it takes me right back to the Facebook login screen and when I reinput the info, I'm sent right back to the reCAPTCHA. Mouse forward and backword buttons do not work like they did in other versions like 9.7. When will this be fixed? Mouse works fine everywhere except in the Gold Desktop. I have contacted Techs many times before and I am just told it will be reported but it still is not fixed and it has been almost a year now. It is not my computer at fault, it is AOL programming which causes this.

LIke the web brower aol email under compose and save, on AOL desk top gold have the signature portion automated. If user wants to use alternate email signature then they can go to the bottom right to switch.
AOL try not to wast user time in clicking each time for a signature- electronic gadgets should be able to save time not add inefficiencies

Settings are all messed up
My Avast abtivirus did an update last night, and now I'm having problems with AOL. It no longer has my user name and password saved, even though I've repeatedly told it to. My mail settings are screwed up, and when I try to get to them, all I'm getting is a black screen. What's happening, and how do I correct it? Has anyone else had this problem?

Issues with everything
There's a huge problem when you can't log on to AOL from your own desktop but you can with any of the other servers! There's loads of disgruntled people who hate Gold but guess what.. they're not listening!!!!!! I could go on forever! No blocking mail the easy way. No address book on the side. Before you clicked on address and got a place to type in name and the computer found it now it shows the whole directory for you to find it or you can go up in right corner and type in name and it gives you several change it back It has taken me hours to get a technician on the phone and it took her over an hour to determine you changed the system Your customer support has become terrible I tried for days to get a technician everyone says leave AOL they have gotten so bad

Peacock TV & Paramount Plus
I have noticed you can't watch anything on Peacock TV or Paramount Plus using AOL Desktop Gold. Peacock TV says "something Went Wrong. Sorry, your system configuration is not compatible with Peacock. Please check the supported devices in our Help Center (6007)."
Paramount Plus says "This video is currently unavailable. Please try again. Error code: 3005".
I have tried on a new of shows and they all say this. Please fix!
